Even extremely small, incremental changes will have blossomed into something like results after a hundred days (or after 99, if this has taken you by surprise). Ahmed is six years old; he and his family are currently fighting to survive the genocide in Ghazzah, and have been for over a year now.
Much of Ahmed's family is disabled; his father is diabetic, his brother Abdullah is autistic, his brother Fathi is blind. On top of that, many of them have been injured by the bombs and shrapnel, like Mohammed, who is suffering from an injured leg.
They were displaced from their home by an evacuation order, and have since taken shelter in a UN school in Deir Al-Balah.
Life is incredibly difficult; they are surrounded by disease and death. The water that's available is contaminated, and food is scarce. Ahmed and his siblings have suffered malnutrition due to how little there is to go around. Ahmed's father lost his shop and no longer has a source of income as a result, making securing resources even more difficult than it would be anyways.
This description, in all honestly, doesn't do justice to just how horrific their situation is. Please do not grow numb to words like "contamination", "disease", "malnutrition", and "genocide". These are more than words on a screen; these are real things being suffered by Ahmed and his family as well as millions of others in Ghazzah.

Nour's posts often get thousands upon thousands of notes, however somehow he hasn't received any donations in 2 whole hours and even before then only received them sparsely.
I understand that some people truly, honest to God cannot donate and to those people I hold absolutely no contempt. I myself have no bank account or job so have only been able to donate to a few USD campaigns by converting old birthday money to giftcards.
But, that's the thing, right? Not to over-inflate my own contributions, but despite my own situation I have still been able to donate to some people. So, it's clear as fucking day to me that unless ALL of your money goes to bills and food (streaming services don't count, anything recreational DOES NOT COUNT), that you are all making excuses.
Unless you meet the description I previously described, you can donate to Nour. He and his family are in constant danger of dying. They live in a squalid tent with a newborn baby which they are unequipped to take care of properly because they are suffering under a GENOCIDE. READ THE WORD. READ IT AGAIN. I would also like to add that Nour's other child is also struggling to receive basic resources. A single carton of milk is $60 USD, and diapers are $80 a box. They can barely scrape by with what little money they have.
Do not grow numb to it and do not grow complacent because millions of people, thousands upon thousands of newborn babies just like Nour and his wife's little son, they are subject to constant displacement, surrounded by bugs and disease, and are literally in danger of starving to DEATH.
You don't need to buy that new game. You don't need that new shirt. You don't need to go see that (LIKELY BDS BOYCOTTED) new movie.
Most if not all of your spending money right now should be going to help Palestinians like Nour and his family. There is no excuse. Plain and simple.

I would like to share something that happened to the family of one of my dear friends in Ghazzah, Mohammed El-Shaer (@malmo038). I would normally also ask you to donate to his fundraiser but the organizer has unexpectedly closed it, without warning, and so he is waiting to organize something with a replacement. For now, please look to donate to his brother, who is struggling just as much with these horrifying experiences, and also has children to feed (@abed-rashad13).
As many of you may know, Mohammed El-Shaer has become a close friend of mine over the course of the last year. I've posted about him frequently. And I've also posted some of his horrid experiences under accelerated genocide. I have another one to share unfortunately.
His sister and his mother were visiting his father's grave. On the way back there was a car just a few feet away from them, it didn't move very fast, likely for worry of being targeted. I'm sure you've all seen enough footage of vehicles targeted. Well his sister stopped somewhere to buy biscuits, and as the car continued on its way, it was struck by a missile. Not far from them. Blood was everywhere, and a martyr's head landed near them.
Can you imagine your sister and your mother going through such a thing? Can you imagine anyone you love going through such a thing? Surviving death only to be met with horror?
I can't get used to these stories. I'm incapable of it. My stomach churns everytime. I feel like throwing up everytime. I get nervous and scared everytime. I don't want to lose my friends or their families to starvation, air strikes, building collapses, any of it. Please help them.

A Gazan friend of mine outside Tumblr has recently contacted me with urgent and terrible news about one of her family members.

Haitham, who is here on tumblr @haithamnayef, and has been vetted by Mohammad @ayeshjourney on @gaza-evacuation-funds's list here at number 8 has endured a year of war without help and without a source of income.
He, his wife Sherin, and their 4 children, have endured constant displacement, homelessness, lack of basic needs, and constant terror for a year. Countless of their friends and family members have been martyred.
Now, Haitham is forced to ask for our help because the unspeakable has happened. His son was struck in his head with shrapnel.
I don't think I need to explain the danger of leaving a little boy with such a critical injury untreated for any amount of time, and yet he has been left untreated for far too long, and continues to worsen by the second. This is why we need to fight for him to receive treatment outside of Gaza as quickly as possible.
I always reiterate that time is of the essence, and that every second counts, and right now I mean this more than ever. Haitham and his family cannot bear the thought of losing their son.
I certainly can't bear it, and I know you can't either, so I'm begging you to act in any way you can, even if it's sending this campaign link to your friends and acquaintances.

The occupation caused me to lose my home and the death of people dear to me and my children. We miraculously emerged from under the rubble. I know that this moment will never leave my children’s minds, the sound of screaming to get us out of there and the death of the people closest to us. I believe that this is not an easy thing for children. The oldest child is no more than 12 years old and the youngest is a year and two months old. So what will come to the minds of children from all these events that have been happening for a year and they are going through as if their lives have no meaning?

And Israel violates law after law after law to suffer no consequences. They have bombed schools, neighbourhoods, mosques, churches, homes. Palestinian people should be afforded the safety of eating in peace. Of sleeping in peace. Of praying in peace. Of simply living in peace.
Instead, they have spent the past year in tents, moving from one place to another as the occupation launches attack after attack in what they call “safe zones.” They left lives behind over and over again.
It has been one year of attacks and displacement and living in inhumane conditions.
Please, in whatever capacity you can, help them. My friend Nesma (@nesmamomen) has a sick father, an injured brother, and she herself is not physically well. Her father’s medicines have become very difficult and expensive to procure as a result of scarcity and subsequent inflation. They lack basic necessities like food, water, and pads.
Now, with the arrival of winter, their conditions are only going to get worse. Their tents will not be enough to protect them. They have already been flooded before and they can be flooded again.
