New in our Aquarium-Terrarium Store. “Litoria caerulea”, “Pantherophis guttatus", "Psalmopoeus cambridgei”, "Tropiocolotes steudneri” en "Dendrobates leucomelas”.
The “Cichlasoma parrot” is a hybrid fish species that does not occur in nature. It is a likely cultivation form between the “Cichlasoma citrinellum” and the “Cichlasoma (Vieja) synspillum”. Beautiful in an aquarium specially designed for them. Heevis has all possible colors and sizes (video) in stock but is especially happy with the “Parrot Galaxy” (photos below). This Galaxy is completely UNIQUE and is EXCLUSIVELY available in the Netherlands at Heevis in Eindhoven.
The “Panaque suttonorum” or “Panaque suttoni” in the Heevis shop. In the Netherlands, this fish is often called “blue-eyed pleco”. This beautiful fish species is found in Colombia and Venezuela. Their food includes driftwood and algae. Should be fed in the aquarium with, for example, vegetables, feed tablets and mussels.
The "Myxocyprynus asiaticus" is a fish found in the Yangtze River in China. Eats almost everything and is a real "cleaner"! Optimal conditions for this species are biotopes with a large aquarium, hard plants and a powerful filter. The water temperature may vary from 16 ° to 25 ° Celsius. They are slow growers who can reach the age of 25 (!). Young specimens of this kind are in stock at the Heevis store.
A very special and beautiful "Tigrinus Catfish" "Merodontotus tigrinus" (Zebra Shovelnose, Tiger striped catfish) in the store of #Heevis. Comes from the Amazon region in South America. Fairly friendly to other fishes, but quite aggressive to other tigrinus. Can be trained to eat frozen food and, for example, "Sinking Canivore Pellets" from Hikari.
UNIQUE! Meet the "Red Parrot Galaxy" in the #Heevis store. This fish is COMPLETELY UNIQUE and EXCLUSIVE for HEEVIS in the Netherlands. The "Red Parrot Galaxy" were picked up yesterday by Jos, but he already made this video to show you this news!
The first cultivated (first tank bred ) "Zebrasoma flavescens" (Yellow Tang) in Europe. These fish will be available at the #Heevis store in a few weeks. (Video: De Jong Marinelife).
Several copies of the "Furcifer pardalis ambilobe red bar" (Chameleon) are now in stock at the Heevis Store. You can see how beautiful these Chameleon species are at the end of this short film. All terrarium animals at Heevis are provided with a CITES license and/or an export license.
Beautiful "Channa andrao" (dwarf snakehead) from West Bengal arrived in the Heevis store. Here on a video recorded by Jos in the store. The fish are now 7 to 9 cm and their maximum length is 12 cm. They can be kept in much smaller aquariums than other types of snake heads. However, they remain predatory fish, so ask for information in advance.
FEEDING! The chambered Nautilus is a mollusk, related to the octopus, squid, clam and snail. A nautilus, along with the cuttlefish, squid, and octopus, are all cephalopods, meaning “head-foot,” so named because the feet (tentacles) are attached to the head. The nautilus is the only cephalopod that has a fully developed shell for protection. The nautilus has more than 90 suckerless tentacles. Grooves and ridges on the tentacles are used to grip prey and deliver food to a crushing, parrot-like beak. NEWS: This fascinating animal is now on the list of protected species. Quite rightly of course. Of all the squid-species the “Chambered Nautilus” is the only one with a beautiful outer shell. This shell is used for jewelry which is a popular souvenir for tourists. The Nautilus lives at great depth (200 m) but must go to the surface to eat. This makes it extremely vulnerable to its main predator: humans.
Heevis is also the specialist for aquariums with biotopes from many areas around the world. See here an example of an Amazone-biotope with, among others, Pterophyllum manacapuru at #Heevis customer Dennis in Eindhoven.
Beautiful #Heevis aquarium delivered, placed and decorated in Eindhoven. Equipped with the latest technology. Update of a large Cichlid Aquarium placed by Heevis (350 x 100 x 90h cm). It is not finished yet, but the contours and the progress are already visible.
Neritina (Vittina) Waigiensis are very special colored (freshwater) snails from the Philippines.
NEW!! This beautiful "tattoo-aquarium-furniture" was introduced by #Heevis at a trade fair in Nieuwegein (the Netherlands). What makes this furniture unique is that you can customize the aquarium-furniture according to your own taste. Heevis gives you the power to show your creativity and stand out from the crowd. In the video, Heevis has created a beautiful contrast between the fishes and floating stones in the aquarium and the colourful furniture.
Seahorses (Hippocampus erectus). Cultivated in the Netherlands. Eating frozen food in our Heevis shop.
Update: the large (420 x 90 x 70 cm) reef aquarium made by Heevis in Eindhoven (the Netherlands).
