Amanda Graham, Petham Primary School
Hereâs five tips for encouraging children to improvise stories. (via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c95sy3Y1vck)
Happy Burnâs night one and all!
My favourite warm up for mind and body!
Itâs beginning to feel a lot like christmas!
Elements of this video helped inspire my Aztec storytelling at St Margaretâs C of E Primary School, Rainham, last week.
âIt was a pleasure working with Helen at our Summer Fair. She had a great rapport with the children and produced well thought out and researched stories, suitable for a range of age groups. I would highly recommend her for storytelling activities, and canât wait for her to come back and do more sessions at THCPââ
Tess Pettinger, Friends Of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park
Improvised visual storytelling with the fantastic CATS project at Camp Mohawk this summer. They run after school clubs for high functioning autistic children.
The young people and I had a blast telling each other tales, creating and performing stories with shadow puppets and acting!

Pan themed Storytelling, Saturday 19th September 2015
I had a blast telling tall tales in Neverland for the #PanMovie Storytelling and Activity Tent at Leicester Square!
As Pirate Smee, I recounted dastardly tales of that dratted Peter Pan, held pirate auditions and arranged impromptu percussion lessons.

Spooky Stories: Teeny-Tiny And The Witch-Woman
Ever wondered what lurks in the wood at night? When Teeny-Tiny, In-The-Middle and Big-One linger too long after dark they find shelter in a cosy cottage. But all is not as it seems. Can sharp eyed Teeny-Tiny save his brothers from the Witch's clutches? This well-loved tale will be told by professional storyteller Helen Tozer and will be followed by forest craft activities.

The older children told me that they loved the interactive shadow puppet performance - especially when they had made their own puppets
Helen Harris, CATS Young Peopleâs project, Maidenhead
We all loved having you with us and the younger children were able to spend a great deal more time than I had anticipated working on their crowns - you kept them focussed for ages. They were so proud of their crowns!

Storytelling in Brockwell Park, August 2015
Over the summer holidays, I retold plant related folklore to children aged between 3-11 at the Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses. All tales were related to the dayâs activities and told out in the open air.
The August pre-school storytelling session was also a great success with parents commenting, âthanks Helen, a lovely session, just right for the little onesâ.
