So… I… I was following this.. weird trace of demonic energy that’s been spiking up in the mortal realm lately…

And..it lead me to this… torture facility??? I mean…I’m not entirely sure whether it could be categorized as such… especially due to the apparent lack of sadistic demons running it…but…ehh… I’m getting of topic here…

So… I… met this surprisingly nice demon there??? Their name’s Laorah and… and we talk through the fence of the facility because I couldn’t teleport myself right into it.. which… could pose some issues with our rescue mission later on… but…ehh… there… there was a boy as well??? Riley… I think his name was Riley and at first I thought Laorah was endangering him but… but apparently they’re currently the only one who’s really looking out for him and…

Well… point is… I promised Laorah to get them both out of there… and… I don’t think my nuclear geese won’t cut it for this mission… so.. yes…

Laorah and Riley were outside, the first time Riley had been outside in years. Riley found it overwhelming, but enjoyed the warmth, so he stayed close to Laorah. He was still getting used to hearing them in his head, to feeling stronger, to healing quickly after little scrapes. He kept hold of Laorah's hand, walking the perimeter of the yard, as close to the fence as he dared.

Laorah stayed right next to the young child, holding his hand as he looked around.

*Hell, attracted by Laorah being summoned again, appears outside of the fence, almost completely hidden behind the foliage after multiple failed attempts to teleport directly into the facility. They’re already quite concerned by the possibility of any remaining demons roaming the mortal realm, but when they see that the demon in question is accompanied by a small child they can barely contain themselves. Carefully, they try to come as close to the fence as possible, without being seen or heard, in order to assess whether the child’s in immediate danger. Yet after a few steps, they manage to stumble over a branch, nearly fall and only barely catch themselves again. Before they can think or stop themselves, they let out a quick array of curses.*

Laorah quickly scooped Riley up, holding him close, protectively.

"Who's there?" They asked, voice low and threatening, turning to look at Hell.

*Hell sighs and steps forward, now completely ditching their cover. They raise a hand and wave gingerly*

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT CHILD THERE?????? Do you… want him as a sacrifice or something!?? Because… because as your literal fucking BOSS I can ASSURE you I won’t let you DO that!!! And I’ve GOT the NUKES to back this threat UP, I PROMISE!!!!!

… regardless of… of how impressive it is that you apparently singlehandedly managed to shield this… facility???? -What’s the deal with you demons and you’re fucking torture FACILITIES!?????- I…ehh… I PROMISE that there’ll be some SEVERE consequences if you DON’T let that child down right FUCKING now!!!

Riley whimpered, covering his ears.

"'s loud-" he muttered, leaning into Laorah.

Laorah looked kindly down at Riley.

"I know, little one. Hold on, okay? Just cover your ears." They muttered, then moved a little farther away and set Riley down, then moved over to the fence.

"I did not shield this facility. I do not wish to be here. This is not my facility, as much as it isn't any of the other three demons that it houses. I am from Xarok, the Everdeep. Not from.. whatever hell you rule. But I will not let you continue to scare the little one. Please, quiet down."

*Hell’s eyes widen, they shake their head, looking extremely apologetic and noticeably put in an effort to lower their voice this time*

In our case, a substitute is provided, as I will not take his. In return, he is immortal. I cannot leave due to enchantments and wards placed upon me.

He cannot leave as they can remotely sedate or electrocute him." Laorah explained.
