What Apex needs right now is a way to ping that you want to head to a vault. I’ve been in too many games where my team of strangers don’t understand that I’m pinging a vault to go to because I have a key. Mic and no mic I’m struggling to tell people to follow me.

When I’ve played with friends and they ping it, I’ve only ever heard the default ping. We open the map to ping too so unless the vault ping is very particular on where you ping, I’m not sure! I play console so maybe it’s different!

Ahhh yeah maybe it is, cause with my friends on PC if one of us picks it up our character has a voice line saying they have a vault key, and if u have the key u can ping the vault :/

Oh the character says they have a vault key when it’s picked up but people seem to ignore that when I then ping where the vault is. Because it’s the generic ping they just seem to ignore it. I just feel like it would just help if the characters said that they were pinging the vault on the map so it’s clear.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re having different experiences though. I run into so many people that forget it’s a team game and ignore everything their teammates are trying to tell them!

They're calling their player base that in reaction to the players being vocally upset over the Iron Crown event and its iconic legendary item, the Raven's Bite. This item requires collecting all 24 other event items before the ability to purchase it unlocks.

Not, mind, that the item unlocks after collecting the other 24 items. The ability to purchase it for $35 dollars worth of event currency unlocks.

On top of that, only two of the 24 other items can be unlocked by playing the game. The other 22 have to be purchased from loot boxes, at $7 worth of event currency each. Meaning that the cost of the Raven's Bite comes up to around $200 depending on how players buy the event currency in question.

The whole situation just adds to my not wanting to play EA's games.

the game is free to play, guys. you don’t need to buy anything to play the game. you’re just paying to make it look a bit different. sure, they can knock the prices down so that more people are likely to buy it and overall make more sales. but at the end of the day, you don’t need to buy it to play the game. heck, with enough grinding you can unlock the buyable characters. like I know its shit but its a free game.
