7-Eleven The Simpsons Movie Donut and Slurpee

Introduced: July 2007

Location: 7-Eleven

To promote the upcoming The Simpsons movie, convenience store chain 7-Eleven gave customers a chance to experience Homer's favorite treat.

The Sprinklicious Donut was, like its television counterpark, a pink-frosted donut with sprinkles. The donut was massively popular, and 7-Eleven sold over one million of them during the promotional period.

Several* 7-Elevens also redecorated, becoming Kwik-E-Marts from the show, complete with Squishees (in specialty cups) instead of Slurpees, Buzz Cola, and Krusty-O's, as well as plenty of Simpsons figures and merchandise for purchase. The Slurpee machines also featured a themed flavor, Blue Woo-Hoo Vanilla.

7-Eleven also hosted the 'Get Animated' sweepstakes during the promotion. Customers received entry codes with their orders of particular food items. Numerous prizes (711 in total) were available, including Simpsons DVDs, Kwik-E-Mart t-shirts, and signed movie posters, but the grand prize was to be featured on the Simpsons as an animated version of yourself. The winner was a Pennsylvanian woman named Cheryl Yex, who said she was just hoping to win one of the limited edition 7-Eleven Kwik-E-Mart uniforms. Though Yex and her husband flew down to the studio to meet with the creators, the location of her animated form in the show has never been disclosed.

*this number varies. I've read 10, 11, 12, and 15. I believe the real number is 12, as despite claiming there were 10, the Simpsons Wiki lists 12 specific locations as being redecorated.
