Honkai Star Rail: Why Acheron is not an emanator.

Spoilers:

Remember how everyone kept hinting that Sam makes no mistakes in his precision? When we ran into him, he scans all three of us before the fight. And what does he say? He says Acheron is a Galaxy Ranger. Not an emanator or threat. So both Acheron and Black Swan really are who they claim they are. Also, the first time Firefly was targeted, Acheron was not involved at all so she’s ruled out.

So Aventurine is the one lying to us (he claimed Acheron is not a Galaxy Ranger). We don’t know if the reason is good or bad since he’s involved with the IPC, but let’s hope it’s leading somewhere.

Honkai Star Rail: Are Firefly and Robin the same person?

SPOILERS:

This might be a crack theory, but is Firefly Robin in disguise? I think this theory adds up as to how they were found dead the same moment, why she never told us who she is at all and always told us inconsistent stories of who she is (remember Black Swan’s speech about Penacony’s folks being liars?), and how she knows so much about the area and Robin and her song herself, and how the creature wanted to kill her twice (first encounter, Swan saved us, but in the second attempt the creature went for her again and killed her by stabbing her in the chest. And even though four people were in its realm many times, it was only Firefly it was after). Then Aventurine shows Robin’s dead body with the same chest wound. We see the Trailblazer fixate her gaze onto the chest wound and get massively shocked, which indicates that she knows who she is. Maybe there’s something that’s after the Family.

Robin was clearly alive when we got there, but she was found dead literally right after Firefly got stabbed. Coincidentally, there’s also a key character from the Last of Us who is named Robin and goes by Firefly. I think that’s not really a coincidence but a tribute.

Either this, or maybe Firefly is related to Sunday and Robin somehow and came looking for them. She’s got the hair and eyes. But it makes the most sense if Firefly was Robin in disguise.

Why Kafka’s Eyes May Have Looked Different Here

I’ve seen images like these floating around recently. I feel like the art direction here is intentional. Like I mentioned in my other post, Kafka already knows you somehow, and you also recognize her, so when you are alone with her in your awakening, then in this scene here, she speaks in a more sincere way with you.

We don’t know if it’s because we’re Elio’s tool, or because she had some family or friendly relationship with us in the past, but she is being real with us when we are alone definitely. She also apologizes for not having spoken to us back in the train, mentions that we “haven’t changed at all,” and is somewhat pleased if we choose to ask “Are you hurt.” Going back to that train talk, she mentions that she bided time to get arrested then talk to us according to Elio’s plan. My guess is that she wanted to appear sinister to the Astral Express crew so that we could get her tracked, cornered, then arrested to get her innocence proven. But that she and the Stellaron Hunters are not truly sinister people. I mean, Fu Xuan read her mind, and Jing Yuan could tell by intuition that Blade is not a threat either, which is why he didn’t care when he escaped. I think it’s also obvious from Silver Wolf’s new interactions with us on the train that they’re all just dorks following Elio’s plan.

My Prediction of Who Kafka Is.

Something tells me Kafka is the MC’s mother or family. I mean, she is the only one MC recognizes out of the Stellaron Hunters. And seeing as how there’s a constant theme of family bonds throughout the game (both adopted and biological and whatnot), and that Cocolia and Serval look much younger than their old age, I’m sure Kafka’s age could be up there as well. The way her and MC’s hairstyles are disheveled and fall down the same way, and the same lazy gaze in their eyes are too uncanny. Especially in that shot without her makeup. I’m wondering if MC is Kafka and Nanook’s child. Or maybe an aunt, relative or older sister or something. Or maybe could be an adoptive mother and they just resemble each other cuz of that. Either way, there are visible similarities in the visuals.

As I mentioned, there are a lot of family bonds in this game. Hook and her father, Svarog and Clara, Natasha and her family and orphans she looked after, Bronya and Cocolia with their somewhat toxic but very loving and trusting mother-daughter relationship (they are also unrelated but resemble each other), the blind female disciple and the blind child she looks after, Jing Yuan and Yanqing, Yukong and her adoptive daughter, the Landaus, etc. I think the hints are saying something.

Whenever the MC talks alone with* Kafka, such as in their awakening in the beginning and later in the interrogation scene, Kafka is very sincere with them, unlike the snarky and somewhat mysterious side she shows to everyone else. What was interesting to me about the interrogation scene is that Kafka starts out by saying we “haven’t changed a bit,” meaning she knew us for a long time and had some kind of personal relation to us enough to say that, and we also have the choice to ask her if “she’s hurt” and if she’s ok. So here, our MC remembers she also has sympathy for Kafka somehow.

I don’t entirely think this is a coincidence.
