John Fahey „Requia“ is the eighth album by John Fahey. Released in November 1967. Fahey’s compositions are accompanied by white noise, excerpts of both string and brass orchestras, Adolf Hitler speeches, choral music, scratchy 78-rpm recordings and various other tape loops and sound effects, melody elements of "California Dreaming", by The Mamas & the Papas. Fahey stated that this was his first attempt at musique concrète. “It's not very good and I don't really like that one. It was a good learning experience though." I have to disagree with him. A diagnosed chronic schizophrenic, Willis gained an enormous cult following in the 1990s. He was also a visual artist long before his forays into music, and produced hundreds of colored ink-pen drawings, most of them of Chicago streetscapes and CTA buses. On August 21, 2003, at the age of forty, Willis died due to complications from leukemia. The combat boots on the bath mat stained with the filth of Dachau. “I washed the dirt of Dachau off in his tub” - she said. It was made on April 30, 1945, the same day as Hitler's suicide. Being one of the first to arrive at Hitler's secret apartments, Miller admits "I had his address in my pocket for years." After taking the bathtub picture, Miller took a bath in the tub and slept in Hitler's bed.
