Now that the authors have been revealed, please go and give our authors love and comments! They’ve definitely earned it, and you can see how well you did! 

As of this post, the official form is closed as well. Mod 🔪 and I will either crunch some numbers or release the whole form, depending on what we can manage. Watch this space! Hopefully more rapidly than last year! And we mean it this time!

Starting tomorrow, there'll be a promo post for every fic in the collection and publishing two fics a day to spotlight the amazing stuff in the collection! If you are an author and don't want us to do this, please shoot us an ask and we'll take care of it. Summary:

The Redstone Institute is the leading scientific institute in the universe, despite its unusually small size. Grian, the head of the Redstone Institute Ethical Department (RIED), is also his department's only employee. His job is to ensure all researchers within the Institute don't accidentally commit atrocities while they work on their projects. The job would be a lot easier if he wasn't supervising the least ethical scientists in the universe. Some of them didn't seem to understand the concept of ethics, while others simply didn't care. Between Cub, Mumbo, Zedaph, and… honestly all of his coworkers, Grian is almost never having a good day at work.

News report after news report kept coming up with the same information. According to the H.E.R.O. Agency, there were no residents inside the building that went up ablaze two days ago. But unless Pearl’s best friend had moved without telling her, there was absolutely no way that her friend who lived in the area wouldn’t contact Pearl about the situation. Something didn’t add up. And Pearl was going to find out what. Unfortunately, it isn’t easy being an independent journalist in a world of extremely censored media.

Summary:

One night, just off the coast of Hermitville, a pod of seal was seen swimming in the bay. The next day, marine biologist Keralis finds a beautiful man laying on the beach. Keralis doesn't consider that these two scenarios could be related, but when this new person starts acting strange, he realises what they are: a selkie. And their seal skin has been stolen. So, he agrees to go with the selkie to help return them to the sea. Xb is trapped in the body of a human after a hunter attacked his pod and stole his skin. He wakes up on a beach approached by a man who takes care of him and after he finds out that he's a selkie, agrees to help him find his skin. But the more time Xb spends with this human, the more he starts to feel… strange. Will it be worth going back to the sea if he can't take Keralis with him?

He felt a broad, warm hand through the fabric of his jumpsuit. “Tango,” Impulse said. “What’s wrong?” “This is the seventh meltdown-level overload this month,” Tango grumbled back. “I don’t know what’s going on with the engine but I have to figure it out.” He struck the engine’s emergency shutdown with the side of his fist. The constant thrumming of the ship went quiet. The lights went out except for the emergency backups. The backup generators powered on for life support. Tango’s radio crackled. “What’s going on, Tango?” the captain’s voice asked. “Engine was about ready to melt down again, Etho,” Tango replied. “I had to shut it off.” The long silent pause gave away that Etho was definitely heaving a sigh on the other end before replying. “Do what you have to do. I trust you.”
