Love your blog! Seriously it itches my hermit brain so good. I would to know if a list of where popular fanon interpretations of designs comes from, such like Grian being a bird, Zedaph part sheep, and cub part convex. I understand this is a lot more subjective than what you’ve compiled before, I’ve just never seen it happen. :) still thanks for your work!

I'm glad you like the blog! I'm actually planning a post on canon non-human hermits (Like Cleo being a zombie or Scar being a wizard in season 7) and was thinking of including explanations on headcanons. There is already this post talking about where most of the headcanons come from. Here are what I know about where the Grian being a bird, Zedaph being a sheep, and Cub being a vex come from.

Grian: Mostly because he's great with the elytra. Plus the pesky bird gag in hermitcraft 7 and watcher headcanons.

Zedaph: Zedaph is very fond of sheeps. He had a game show in hermitcraft 5 and 6 called Is That Sheep Looking At Me which I highly recommended you watch. In season 5 he also had an aerial sheep service and in season 8 he had a sheep wall experiment.

Cub: Cub and Scar were possesed by vexes in hermitcraft 5 which you can find more about by skimming through their Convex videos. In hermitcraft 6 their pretty explicitly vexes. The refer to themselves as vexes throughout the whole season and have vex magic. They could still be vexes? There are multiple clips, in hermitcraft 9, that suggest that they are vexes.

Hermits Art

Not only do hermits make beautiful art in mincraft. They make beautiful art outside of mincraft! Here are some of their artwork. Please share any of the hermits art you can find!

Bdubs: Bdubs has read a few art books to help with his builds which I think is how he learned to draw.

Oh thanks! I was looking through Brody's, Evil's, and Astro's VODs trying to look for it, but was lazy and thought it would be funnier to have no context.

So frustrated I don't have sources for these cause they're from old streams but putting it out there in the hopes someone does!

Iskall can play 'most instruments', notably the guitar and accordion (which his dad forced him to learn.) I have a link for this! This VOD at 1:17:00 https://youtu.be/eHRLw9DX6jE I believe his sister is a professional pianist. He also has perfect pitch, but apparently 'can't hold a beat'.

Wels is musically inclined I believe because his mother was a choir director, so he got into singing because of that. He also had a relative, I can't remember which, that had a band and Wels' stream background music was from a CD of one of their performances. Most of the songs aren't available online.

Interesting. Will add the information about Iskall playing the accordion to the post!

Hermit Partners

*I will not talk about hermit partners who don't show up in content. Some hermits want to keep information about their partners private. • Mrs.Bdubs?/Nicole/Nikke: - Nicole is Bdoubleo's wife. She has made many appearances on the Bdubs channel. She occasionally appears in Bdubs' sponsor segegmants. Most notably the "SHE GAMIN'" commercial. You can see more of her on the old bdubs vlogging channel. • BadgerSpanner: - Badger is Joehills beloved betrothed and makes many appearances in Joehills streams. They are also featured a few times in Joehills 2nd album. - Joehills and Badger met through Xisuma. Badger has been a member of Xisuma's community for many years (At least sense Hc6). This makes this clip especially funny. • Mrs.Keralis/Wifey: - Keralis' Wifey. Keralis built a statue of his Wifey in season 1 of hermitcraft. She also appears in Wifey vs Mincraft season one and two. • Vicky: - Mumbo's girlfriend. Vicky rarely makes appearances on Mumbo's main channel, but she helps Mumbo out on his filming channel and has acted in a few of Mumbo's films. • Mrs.TangoTek: - Mrs.Tango is the wife of Tango. She randomly give Tango hats during his streams. She mostly appears in Friday night stabby (Among Us) streams. She streams on Twitch and posts the VODs to YouTube. • Kristin: - Kristin is Beef's wife. They have a channel together called House Into Home. •  PuddleduckGG/Mrs.Welsknight/Wifey: - Wifey to the Welsknight. She has appeared in many of Welsknight's videos. Most notably the CoupleCraft series. She has her own YouTube channel and streams on Twitch. • F1RECRACKR/FERKs: - FERKs is the girlfriend of xBCrafted. She streams on Twitch and makes YouTube videos. • Dot Dot Dash: - Dot is Zedaph's girlfriend. She somtimes streams on Twitch and makes YouTube videos. She is also the one who does subtitles for Zedaph's YouTube channel. She puts her VODs on YouTube. • CamronJK: - Cam is Cleo's other half. They stream on Twitch and are also on Tumblr.

in the post about hermit username origins - I believe Bdubs' username is also a James Bond reference, as James Bond is called "Agent Double-O 7." Ergo the "B Double-O[numbers]" format

Bdubs does say in this video that he didn't want the 100 in his name, so I doubt that it's supposed to be in the "B Double-O[numbers]" format.

Musical Hermits

*For what I count as singing I won't include hermits randomly singing in videos/streams, sorry. This post is for bringing light to hermits with more professional work! For stuff like hermits randomly singing I recommend you check out Elybeatmaker's channel. *I will include any instruments hermits play past or present. Stuff like hermits knowing/learning how to play an instrument and aren't jokes (Like Joe playing a glockenspiel). • Bdubs: - Songwriter: Bdubs wrote and sang the intro to his Building with Bdoubleo series. - Singer : Along with singing his own song, Bdubs has sung many covers of other songs. Here's a channel I found that has a few of bdubs' covers. Most of these covers were done in 2017 when he streamed on Twitch and played as character called "Beau Truck." -Guitarist (acoustic) • Impulse: - Drumer: Impulse used to be a professional drummer and was part of a drum Corp (Specialized marching band). - Iskall also says he can play most instruments, but not the piano. • Joehills: - Songwriter: Joe has written two albums. (My favorites songs are Lines, Send Me a Wave Via Subspace, and Lecturen / Full Cauldron) -Although Joe sings a lot in his videos, he usually gets his sister Quinn Hills to sing for his official music so I won't be including him a singer.  If you wanna here Joehills sing, I recommend listening to His Response to Hermitgang (He wrote it and posted it the same day as Hermitgang) and this remix of Where In the world is Cubfan of the Convex? (A parody of Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?)

• Ren: -Singer: Ren used to sing covers on stream! He stopped due to the DMCA though. Here's a playlist of some of his covers. - Guitarist (acoustic) • Stress: - Drumer • Wels: - Songwriter: Wels wrote his part in Hermitgang (Everyone else had ghost writers). He also wrote "Diabolical" ( Where he raps against his alter ego Hels) and "Dark Roast" (as a response to this video). - Singer: Alongside rapping Wels also sings sea shanties. • Xisuma: - Guitarist (electric): X loves music and plays the guitar! Because of RSI (Repetitive strain injury) he often has to stop playing.

- Xisuma has released music under the name Soulside Eclipse. Here's a video of X reviewing his first album on his xisumamusic channel.

Explanations On The Hermits Nicknames!

• Bdoubleo100: - Bdoubleo (Boo) are the first three letters of his last name. - The username Bdoubleo was already taken so he added the 100 • Cubfan135: - He was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs (A baseball team) - The username was already taken so he added the 135 • Docm77: - The "77" part comes from the fact that he was born in 1977 - The "M" part: 1. M is the first letter of his last name. 2. Stands for Monster/Minecraft -The "Doc" part: 1. He has a PhD in social studies. 2. His nickname for when he played baseball (He was a professional basketball player for 15+ years). Note: Doc has stated that the "Doc" part of his name comes from a non-pg story. The main theory is that it is a reference to Doktor Sommer (Which is a sex ed section in German teen magazines) because he was popular with girls. • EthosLab: - Etho used to go by "Master of Disguise" and when playing Worms Etho would copy other people's names. He then changed his name to Ersatz which means replace/substitute in german (Etho thought it meant copy). He liked having a name that starts with "E" and randomly added the "tho". • Falsesymmetry: -  Has to do with her channel originally going to be an art channel. • GeminiTay: - Gem's real name is Taylor - Gem's astrology sigh is Gemini. She also had a horse called Gemini. • Goodtimeswithscar: - The Office referance: In The Office Michael Scott created a character called Michael Scarn. GTWS misremembered the characters name as Scar and decide to make "Agent Scar" is username for CoD.

- His minecraft username is Goodtimewithscar (No "s" after time) because of the mincraft username character limit. Scar will say the reason is because you can only have one good time in mincraft. -Fun Fact: When Scar was a swimmer his nickname was CatDog because he used to carry a CatDog plushie plushie around everywhere.  • Grian: - He used to go by Gria and added the "n" because the username Gria was already taken. I don't know where Gria came from.

- You can see that Grians old channel name was xelqua. Grian never went by xelqua. It was a randomly generated YouTube name. • Hypnotizd: - NA • iJevin: - Jevin is just his irl name

-  He got his username from a combination his first and last name last name. His first name backwards + the first three letters of his last name.

• MumboJumbo:

- The Mumbo Jumbo channel used to be run by two people. Mumbo (Our Mumbo) and Jumbo (His best friend when they made the channel).

- "Mumbo Jumbo" probably comes from the phrase "Mumbo Jumbo" which means nonsense.

- Ren was his nickname in school

- He didn't think the name "Ren" was gangster enough so he added "dog" to the end

- xB is part of an old username he doesn't use anymore (Old username is probably xbxaxcx). Crafted is for crafted.

• Xisumavoid:

- Music backwards. "C" was changed to an "X" and then an "a" was added

• Zedaph:

- Somewhat based on the name of the character Zaphod Beeblebrox (From The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) .

• Zombiecleo:

- They played as a undead in WoW

- "Cleo" was the name of their WoW character. Short for Cleophas.
