Bruce approaches the hologram slowly and the concern in his expression is pained and flickers with curiosity like the dimming letters of an old, neon sign. A girl. Slight and blonde, so familiar even though he’s sure he’s never seen her before, “What…” he asks Tony when he’s close enough to be bathed in the projections blue light, “It’s a girl. You’re making a girl?”

He doesn’t always get Tony. This is one of those times. The schematics are right there, rotating in several blocks on the screen beside her. The skeleton and it’s laser-red eyes specifically give Bruce pause, “You’re making a Terminator.” he reaches up to nervously grip at his hair with both hands, “This is a Terminator! Are you outta your mind?”

                            "Slayer," Tony corrects, pushing his hands in his pockets and wearing on Bruce's expression from the other side of the hologram, "I'm making a Slayer. Vampire Slayer, in point of fact. Something the world desperately needs, can we agree on that?"

He reaches out to her, leggy and blonde, looking a little sadder than he meant her to. Reaches out and gives her a gentle spin, giving Banner the 360 of his newest creation, "Remotely Operated Slaying System." almost humming it, thoroughly pleased with himself, "Meet ROSS 3000. She'll be stronger than Rogers, more agile than Romanoff." but something Bruce says makes Tony pause, snort and roll his eyes. He walks around the screen, around behind his friend and lays a fond grip on Bruce's shoulders from behind, gives him a slow, gentle shake, "She's not a Terminator, I just happen to be a fan of the vintage James Cameron aesthetic. Picture it... safe streets. A whole army of Vampire Slayers controlled by F.R.I.D.A.Y. What if the real Slayers were safe?" he tightens his grip on Bruce's shoulder for a moment then gives it a friendly clap, "What if Faith were safe? Hmm? No more wondering where she is. Coming home bruised and bloody. We could protect the world, Buddy. Law and order."

Earthlings || Elektra & Thor

                        Thor's too familiar, already. He'd offered Elektra his arm at the start of the night and has since been leading her around by the hand like there's a night circus out there just waiting for them to find it. He's enthusiastic by nature, eager to show off the crags and nooks he's found in the city. Little dives and out-of-the-way shacks aren't new to him but they were never part of the landscape in Asgard and the shine hasn't worn off for him.

"You'll thank me for this, one day," he's promised it at least four times since the twilight set in, "They're very good," a high compliment from a big eater. Thor's almost too serious, now, like he's got to convince a judge to let him off the hook for something he clearly did, "It's almost as if they've crammed extra taco into these Earth Tacos."

                                 They aren't far off their destination, a little street taco cart that's closing up for the night. The man covering his black chalkboard sign with saran wrap, a local named Willy who stupidly moved back to Brooklyn to get away from the world's hellmouths and doesn't know why people laugh at the name, 'Willy's Wieners', takes one look at Thor and points at him as if he expects it to ward Thor off, "You! Uh-uh, no way! You get outta here! I already told you, I don't sell grog. I don't even know what it is!"

               Except, in true Odinson fashion, Thor greets the man as if they're both equally happy to see each other, "Hello, Earth Taco Man! We've journeyed far to experience your Earth tacos. We took a cab."

               Welcome to the first event of the summer! The Avengers & Co. have been invited as celebrity guests to attend a charitable art show. A portion of the proceeds will go towards rebuilding city infrastructure, as well as benefiting people affected by their heroic, but often destructive, actions. A little good PR doesn’t hurt, right?

              Come enjoy the show, rub elbows, drink the free champagne, and maybe even buy a new piece for your living room!

               This is a mini-event starting June 1st. It is non-mandatory, but members are encouraged to use it as a prompt!

           Now, there's something Buffy clearly didn't expect to hear. Doesn't seem to like it, either. She slowly takes a step towards Lilah, all the potential energy of a fight in her expression, "We? Who's 'we'? Don’t play games with me."

The Nightmare Before Wednesday || Damon & Bonnie

         It's dark, damp. What little light there is only makes the whole 'alley' experience creepier, even grotesque. Damon's pulse is beating his gait, quick and hard, rushing blood in his ears. Quiet as a mouse, on the trail of a pretty little witch who's yards ahead of him, somewhere in the din where his human eyes can't follow.

He feels alive, for a change. Stalking his prey, finding exhilaration in the chase the way he has for lifetimes. Sure, it's not the same without his heightened hearing, sight. The speed. God, he misses the speed, but even without those things he feels a little like his old self, tonight.

  It's the mouth of the alley, under the light of a street lamp when Damon catches up to the girl he's been after. He slows behind her, grins like a beast and pushes his hands into the pockets of his jeans. Leans in, lightly over her shoulder, a little too close, and whispers against her ear, "Miss me?"

          “Angel...” now, that’s got Buffy’s attention. She slowly folds her arms, levels her brow, “What do you know about Angel?”

Alaric raises both eyebrows, because, what the fuck.

          “I survived high school with this name. I survived middle school with this name. Pretty sure that’s what set me up to survive Mystic Falls. And by the way, Alaric was the King of the Visigoths. Badass, basically.” And that’ll do, for now.

        He crosses his arms and frowns at the screen. “You have seen the Terminator movies, right? And, uh, all the rest of science fiction ever? I, Robot comes to mind. I was thinking, hey, UV bombs. Improving my wooden bullets so they’re effective from a greater distance. Not, uh… is that based on a real person?”

              Tony makes a face, a little twisty, bitchy face when Alaric starts in about his name. There's no way the man thinks that's a normal, everyday thing to name your kid. He almost flinches then glances back at Alaric, "Yeah, but how many parties did you get invited to? Never mind, more important." as he motions back to the screen, trying to draw Alaric's attention back to the hologram. Wooden bullets. Saltzman's smart, but he has a real problem thinking fourth-dimensionally.

"That? That's not just based on a real person, it's based on a Vampire Slayer. The Vampire Slayer, actually. Custom work. Buffy Summers, so realistic that her best friends couldn't tell them apart." he steps closer to the screen, reaches for the girl on screen and gives her a little spin to get to the back of the toy, "A little shiny. Almost perfect but not quite. See, Mears? Psychopath. Real piece of work. A brilliant mind warped to... well, let's just say he's getting coal in his stocking.”

               “His problem? He put all the tech up in her head and let her run off and find her own initiative. Not good, too much can go wrong, but what if. Are you paying attention? What if instead of one, free-standing Slaybot..." he reaches, again, for the hologram. Presses the corner of the screen and the single robot multiplies into rows of hundreds. They look different, slightly. Different hair, skin, eyes and clothes. Tony smiles like he's giving himself a the present to end all presents. He looks back at Alaric, "Thousands of them. All connected to a hub, run by F.R.I.D.A.Y. --- cameras, diagnostic reports, voice override. Think about the possibilities. We could effectively take real Slayers off the streets. Safe streets, Jones. Think about it."

The girls are really settling in to Xavier’s school, they’re making friends.” Caroline sighs, takes a sip of her coffee and takes the seat across from Bonnie at an over-priced coffee house in a city she’s not fond of, “I guess he’s an Avenger now. I get it, he wants purpose. I just wish he could find purpose in D.C.”

           "Mysty. Can I call you 'Mysty'?" Tony can't shut up. It's a thing with him. He's pouring himself a drink, one he sorely needs, but he can't take his eyes off his guest. Motions between them to get his point across, "I feel like we're on a nickname basis, what with you trying to kill my protege and all. Yadda-yadda, attack the world. Attack Stark Industries. Scotch?"
