Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. I’ve got a few posts from my side blog I’ll be reblogging here tonight, but tomorrow I probably won’t talk to much about it. It pains my heart.

The effects of this overthrow and later annexation have stained my home with blood. They’ve stained my own life.

I cannot afford live on my own sacred land. My people cannot afford to live on their own scared land. And the worst part?

Hawaii was overthrown to keep sugar tax low.

My people die for sugar.

My people, my ‘ohana, we suffer and die because Americans were so greedy for sugar. And in the end? Taxes went up anyway. Sugar got more expensive.

It pains me in ways I cannot even express.

So i need dental help again.

The above image is the filling that made up the outer edge of my tooth. I need ~200 to get that fixed, plus another $1000 in order to get a crown to prevent this from happening again. I got this filling done in October, and won't be using that dentist again. Ideally I need this before my birthday in February because I don't really want to deal with dental work at that point, as I'll have absolutely no chance of coverage for it at that point.

I do commissions as well, just DM me for the information on that.

BIG good news update:

I can get the crown, etc done for only $1050! The dentist called me after i had my exam today and apparently because ive been so nice to the staff and "such a positive light", theyre willing to do the crown for just the cost of anaesthetic, which rocks. Because I didnt want to update this to be 2500 bucks after learning the anaesthesia price lmao. So. New total:
