Waking up at dawn to get to work is honestly the worst and will never not suck, but I adore the misty air in the mornings and I saw some pretty flowers on my way <3

Luckily, a lot of my work involves being on call, which means I can study a bit during the day. On my to-do list:

read the Intro to Disability Studies text

review the last Spanish class and add new vocabulary to my flashcards

go over yesterday’s lecture on feminist law

this semester I'm attending an online lecture about feminist law and it's so unlike everything else I've done during my studies. I'm like a fish out of water :')

Hopefully it's going to get better once we hit the more practical stuff but until then I'll be here, struggling.

Classes start today.

Feeling a bit apprehensive because I decided to take as many classes as possible this semester, and it's going to be tough. But as much as I love studying, and as much as I worry about the future, I really really want to get closer to the finish line.

On top of my classes, I also need to come up with a research question for my master's thesis (hence the book in the picture – hoping for some inspiration). I have a few ideas, but so far, I'm not in love with any of them.

At least the weather's nice! (although we desperately need some rain...)

I have this week to make some progress on my experimental design, but I actually have the time to do it because classes are over! Yay!

My student starts April 22nd and so I’m starting to feel the pressure a bit. I honestly should not have a student yet before I have any experience in the lab, but I do. So. I have some shit to prep before all of this comes down.

In the meantime, I am planning a BBQ for Pasqua, just to have something to look forward to. We’re already 20 in number and a few more people need to get back to me.

Am I overwhelmed? Definitely.
