I spent some time educating ppl on pinterest about therianthropy and physical identities.
It was really disheartening to see the amount of unkindness towards physical identities coming from other therians claiming that we're "mentally ill", "delusional" and that we "didn't found the community" because "that's too much".
I've had enough of these uneducated kids who think they're the kings of the community when they exclude and invalidate what they consider "weird and socially unacceptable".
Makes me wanna bite them like the bad dog i am.

Am I the only one who prefers ‘Alterhuman’ over ‘Therian’? Absolutely NO HATE to those that use that label, I just feel like it’s not really.. me? Even though I technically ‘qualify’ as a Therian. (Canadian lynx, I believe, still figuring it out)
i very much agree with this, but have personally begun to start using the term(s) transspecies / holothere as of lately in order to disconnect from the therian label. yes, i am the textbook definition of a therian, but i know damn well everyone just views that term as an aesthetic, as "furry lite", which i am not.
i dont really have the energy to correct every person on the internet that only views therianthrophy as quadrobics, gear, etc. i know they arent right, i know they dont know otherwise, and i know that even if i make an effort to inform them, it will get me nowhere.
its such an odd feeling to be shut out of a community, a label, that has finally made things make sense just because people want to make it more easily digestible for strangers instead of just...using the right label

I’m sorry if no one’s explained this to you before but a content creator telling you that their work isn’t for minors and it’s not their responsibility to jump through hoops to keep it from you is an adult looking out for kids. they’re modeling good boundaries and setting the expectation that you’ll engage with the online community like a person and take responsibility for your choices. if you cannot understand that you need to look out for yourself and take people seriously when they say their work isn’t suitable for young audiences then you are not ready to be unsupervised on the internet.

Anyone else feel like an outcast in the alterhuman community?
Most of the therians/alterhumans/nonhumans I see online are minors; I’m 20 years old.
Most of them can do quadrobics; I can’t run on all fours for five minutes without everything hurting, and if I did a jump, I’d probably break my wrists
A lot of them seem to enjoy the company of humans; I’ve never trusted or liked humans
Most of the community talks about being “silly” or “cute” when experiencing a mental shift; I have violent, animal instincts and avoid others when I feel a mental shift coming on
I don’t know. I just feel like a lot of us have become… tame. And I’m not. I feel like we as a community don’t talk about the “darker” side of not being human. The violent prey drive. The instinctive fear of humans that wild animals have.
To clarify, I mean no hate towards those who genuinely enjoy not being human. I just feel like even in a community of outcasts, I’m an outcast.
It’s just frustrating. In a place meant for those who aren’t human, I’m still too different to fit in. I just want to have a place to belong, you know?
(This is an edit) So, it seems I’m definitely not the only one. If anyone wants to talk about their less normalized instincts, shifts, etc., feel free to in the comments. If I find any hate or harassment in my comments, that person’s hateful comment will be removed and they’ll be blocked. My blog is a safe space
Can't express how stress free being open minded is.
Some lesbians use he/him? Oh cool.
Some people have people inside their head and sometimes it's fictional chars? Sick your brains like a pirate ship they're all working to run.
Some people like being treated like a pet dog? Bark bark bro.
Being fat isn't unhealthy but a perfectly normal type of body to have? Kinda beautiful how different we can all be.
Something doesn't make any fucking sense? Cool an opportunity to learn. And even if I can't figure it out it's cool we still have mysteries today.
It's just... idk man. People are weird. Being a person is weird. Society is weird. The universe is weird. Rather than having to "normalize" everything, just accept that some people are weird. So are you. Nothing is normal. the rules are all made up. I once saw a Klingon pushing a baby stroller down the street in toronto. The world is a weird place, man. Just roll with it.

In regards of the Trump government scraping all trans inclusion in its queer information portion of its websites I have made this thing. Spread the word. Don't let them pretend we never existed.
P.S: Don't like! Reblog! <3
sometimes i wish i had big claws for digging and climbing but i hate the sensation of having long nails so i bite them down to the quick. curse this human body and its brittle nails.
Same! My nails grow really quickly and I keep trying to let them grow out cause its really species euphoric for me, but human nails are so weak so they break easily and I just end up cutting the rest of them cause I hate the feeling of uneven broken nails. :(( might try to take like nail vitamins or those long fake animal nails or something.
