When I was 10 I thought the internet was stupid and not going to be long term thing. Who cares about that I had tge true next gen tech.. my portable cd player.. who needs internet cds to look up things on yahoo when I could listen to a song about Aaron beating Shaq in a basketball game while I go got a walk?

I dont think lbh ever really tried to kill lqg during the 5 years of corpse-zun...but i think it would be hilarious if, because liu qingge is an anomoly who was never meant to fight lbh, who admittedly isnt on binghe's level but hes still pidw's war god.....

Lbh just is incapable of killing lqg. Like some sort of video game glitch, like when you take an item out of its designated area when youre not supposed to and the game cant quite do what you want to, everytime binghe tries to kill lqg some sort of looney tunes-shit happens that save lqg last minute. Like the worlds game engine can let them fight, and Lqg will never be able to beat lbh in a fight, but everytime lbh tries to actually kill the man, he starts falling into xianxia manholes and xianxia anvils start falling a la the beam falling during the skinner incident

Kurogane is a deeply devoted and protective character in general. His whole character is built around the need to protect, he wants to grow stronger because he cannot afford to be in a position where he suffers the same loss again. And his character arc is also focused on learning true strength, once again to be able to protect those he cares about. But he's also very logical and observant about these decisions. He does not give a shit about anyone not his family. His devotion to Tomoyo is built on the fact that she saved his life and single handedly kept him from the fate Reed had planned for him. His parental love for Sayoran and Sakura is built on the honesty of their actions and hearts.

But then you have Fai and Fai is a lying liar who lies, Kurogane doesn't really have any concrete reason to trust Fai barring a) his own gut, and b) him being concerned for the children. Mind you Fai had put the kids at risk a couple of times before this because he refused to use his magic, something that pissed Kurogane off deeply. And despite this, at the height of their conflict till that point, Kurogane still ended up being so protective of Fai that he flung Sayoran across the room so hard he actually snapped his arm for hurting Fai. Mind you, in Infinity when Fai literally killed Sakura, Kurogane didn't show any degree of violence or rage towards Fai despite being heartbroken, he just restrained Fai so that he wouldn't hurt himself. He didn't even bother to hear what the price of saving Fai would be, paralleling Sayoran's blind desperation to save Sakura in the beginning. He was fully willing to give anything to save Fai, at a time when C!Sayoran was awol, Sakura was in deep sleep, the new Sayoran was a complete stranger. Hell he didn't even know about Fai's whole situation yet so there was a chance that Fai would never settle and Kurogane willingly gave up his wish to return home to Nihon.

Even during the Celes arc, Kurogane never targeted or even held Fai responsible for any of his actions, because while yes, Fai was manipulated into it, he was still actively working for Reed and slowly bringing them to the end Reed planned. And then Kurogane, who already had a hole in his abdomen, chopped his arm off, not knowing that he'd get any medical help anytime soon and not even knowing if this would even work just to keep Fai alive. Even when he talks about being devoted to Sakura he brings up being devoted to two causes, that doesn't happen with Fai, he makes no justification, gives no reason, he's just willing to jump head first into keeping that man safe and alive. Every time Fai is forced to feed from Kurogane, an action always initiated by Kurogane himself, he has to willingly hurt himself physically and also emotionally because Fai's resentment only deepens with every forced feeding session.

Even in TWC where all of them are in a much better place mentally Kurogane is loudly protective of Sayoran but Fai has to literally strongarm him using their bet to let him fight because of how protective Kurogane is when it comes to him.

It's important to understand that Kurogane is extremely protective of his family, he has shown it again and again. He's just really unhinged about Fai. Sometimes to a problematic degree where he starts to take away some of Fai's agency in their worst moments.

In alot of ways kurogane and fai I feel were supposed to mirror sakura and s love and ways it could go differently. Kurofai were bitterly wrote for each other and also made to be perfect opposites of each other that compliment each other so perfectly.
