I've found this in an old folder from my notebook, I think I have never post it before. 6th year Hinny.
Jily in 2026.
A really underrated aspect of Harry and Ginny's relationship is Harry having as one of the main reasons for falling for Ginny thinking she is incredibly funny.
Men tend to have this--very rooted in misogyny-- bias about women not being funny (because to laugh with someone and not at them, you actually need to respect them).
But Harry Potter, one of the most famous main characters of all time, thinks his wife is the funniest person on earth. Which makes the fact that they were never adapted correctly on screen a tragedy. I truly think it would have really made a difference for a lot of young boys to have Harry's view of Ginny as a reference.
Talking with each other about their day doing nothing just still being crazy in love. (and me pretending it hasn't been 2 years since I drew them!)
Jily in July!
Lily and Harry.
everybody say thank you, fanfiction
Everyone keeps saying it makes no sense that Harry, who hated his fame, ended up with Ginny, who had a crush on him because of his fame. But that's ... not true. Ginny had a crush on just Harry, not the boy who lived. She knew Harry hated his fame. Remember the first time Ginny spoke in front of Harry after Malfoy mocked his fame? 'Leave him alone, he didn't want all that!'
If anyone was obsessed with Harry because of his fame, it was Colin Creevey. Ginny's obsession with Harry was nothing like Colin's. She wasn't imposing, she never annoyed Harry, she left him alone. Harry was the one who used to reach out to her and tried to talk to her in the beginning. So yeah, the 'Harry never noticed Ginny' argument isn't true either. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
SAID IT LOUDER TO HATERS AT THE BACK
“You are protected, in short, by your ability to love! The only protection that can possibly work against the lure of power like Voldemort’s! In spite of all the temptation you have endured, all the suffering, you remain pure of heart, just as pure as you were at the age of eleven…” Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Ginny cried when she took that picture of Harry with their kids after he got back from a mission, safe and sound. They were his most powerful shield.

The Birthday Gift
Written for @ginnyw-potter Happy Birthday, Kami!
The sun was dipping low, closing out the long summer day in a wash of gold and amber that shimmered across the surface of the small fishing pond. The noise of the family gathering faded behind them as Ginny and Harry slipped away, their footsteps unhurried, their shoulders brushing as they walked.
Ginny let out a laugh, bright and incredulous. “The whole cubicle?”
“Filled to the brim,” Harry said, grinning. “Letters, postcards—everything. Kingsley promised they had security wizards screening them all before delivering the lot. Said it like that was meant to reassure me before they buried me alive in it.”
“And what did you do with them?” she asked, glancing sideways at him.
“Donated them,” he said lightly.
“To the Harry Potter Memorial Library and Orphanage?” Ginny asked with a sly grin.
Harry nudged her in the side when she snorted. “You haven’t seen the latest Skeeter article? It’s apparently a Quidditch Training Centre now—for orphans and reformed Death Eaters.”
Ginny huffed. “Oh, well. How noble of you.”
“Apparently,” Harry said. “Anyway, I tossed most of them. Figured anyone who actually knows me would know where to send a birthday card.”
“You did not throw all of them away!”
“Well… Ron and Neville had a look through first.”
“Oh, and you didn’t?”
“I was mostly trying to clear a path back to my desk chair,” he admitted.
Ginny bumped his shoulder. “So what did your adoring fans send you? Anything good?”
Harry sighed, dragging a hand through his hair. “I kept the ones from little kids.”
“Of course you did. For your very real, completely legitimate orphan Quidditch empire.”
“Obviously.”
They walked a few steps in comfortable silence before he continued, “There were loads of party invitations. People seem to think I’m terribly lonely. That I need a proper family to celebrate with. No one should spend a birthday alone.”
“If only they knew about Mum’s dinner.”
“Exactly.” He smiled faintly. “And then there were the homemade gifts.”
“Oh, not homemade gifts from rabid fans!”
“I got a pair of knitted socks,” he said. “They reminded me of Dobby.”
Ginny scrunched up her nose in judgment. “Who sends a stranger knitted socks?”
Harry’s grin turned crooked. “That wasn’t the strangest one.”
“Oh?”
“A witch sent me—” he hesitated, already laughing, “—panties made of licorice wands. Neville opened that one. Went about as red as the… gift.”
Ginny doubled over, laughter spilling out of her.
“She included a homemade Bertie Bott’s recipe,” Harry added, barely holding it together. “Assorted… intimate flavours.”
“No!” Ginny gasped, clutching her sides.
“Ron tried them,” Harry said solemnly. “Said they tasted salty.”
“Stop!” she choked. “You are making that up now.”
“I really wish I were.”
Ginny shook her head, still laughing as she straightened. “Wow. And all we had to offer you was cake and decent company. You must feel thoroughly unappreciated by us in comparison.”
Harry took in the sight of her laughing, the setting sun reflected in her brown eyes. “It truly is a tragedy,” he said dryly.
But his hand found hers as they walked, and he didn’t let go.
Thank you!! This is amazing, I loved every bit of the easy chatting, Neville and Ron making the gift chaos both worse and bearable abd how happy they seem.
Thank you ♥️♥️
Wishful Thinking
Ginny is placed into the service of a Duke to serve as the lady's maid for his future Duchess. But things spiral out of control when Ginny forms an unlikely connection with the Duke, a connection that raises questions and feelings that neither of them knows how to answer. Feelings that are nothing more than wishful thinking. Note: This story is inspired by Benedict and Sophie from Bridgerton. My attempt at a Hinny forbidden romance!
Yes, I wrote another regency romance. Here are the tropes you can expect: forbidden love (Harry is a Duke, Ginny is a maid!!!!), forced proximity (there was ONLY one bed, folks), and lots of pining. Harry is briefly betrothed to Daphne, but I promise nothing comes out of it. Read Chapter 1 on AO3
I DID IT!!! IT'S FINISHED!!! The final chapter of the Red Fury is now out! A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who read this fic and supported me along the journey. It feels like a crazy accomplishment to get 20 chapters and 131k words out and shared with this amazing community. Read the complete story on AO3!
Amazing fic!!! Highly recommend 👌
hopefully the next event will be better this was a let down
I'm sorry you were disappointed it was just me. I know it wasn't a real event which is why I made sure we had another event lined up to take place soon that's for everyone where we will (hopefully) have a variety of writers that will suit you better.
this is just a WILD ask to me. not only has kami taken on an immense amount of responsibility and ownership when it comes to the hinny community to keep it active and ALIVE... she single-handedly wrote nine (NINE) new fics in the span of like two months?? a group of us were in on it, sure, but this was all kami. simply because she loves hinny and loves the people who love hinny.
so for her work and passion and love to be verbalized as not good enough makes me irrationally angry. like you had to see the reblogs and the tags and the ao3 comments and the discord, right? like you saw the people laughing and enjoying the joke and relishing the new fics and fun premise... you saw that, right?? so the absolute audacity to say it is a let down... IT JUST BOGGLES THE MIND y'know?
do you feel better about yourself knowing you made someone feel bad? someone who, hypothetically, if we didn't have, the community of harry/ginny shippers would be a ghost town? do you feel good about yourself making a snide comment on anon?
i don't understand this and i never will.
This is why fanfic writers burn out. Next time you wonder why Hinny doesn't have as many fics as other ships, remember to be kinder to the authors that keep this community going.
Harry's nearsightedness really makes Hinny so much sweeter
Imagine Harry waking up morning and nearsightedness making him focus on Ginny's beautiful face and her adorable freckles, while Ginny catches him looking at her 😍😍😍

Here are some complaints and rants! If you mind, don’t read any further 🤧🤧🤧 Recently, I saw something that upset me and realized I hadn't mentioned this before—I'm an OTP purist for both Harry and Ginny. I can only accept Harry being single or with Ginny, and the same goes for Ginny—she's either single or with Harry.
That is to say, I don’t appreciate you mentioning other ships involving characters like Harry or Ginny in the comments section of my Hinny fanart.(Especially, please don’t say that my art looks like Harry is with another woman or Ginny is with another man in a romantic relationship…)
I acknowledge that every ship is interesting and believe that every fanart creator is talented and outstanding. If you prioritize other ships or dislike my fanart, you are more than welcome to look for other artists instead of criticizing my ship in front of me.
@vaffyu I feel like this is pirate Ginny after the treehouse
I'm not even kidding, that's exactly how I imagined her. And in that chapter, he literally wakes up to focus on her and her overwhelming beauty. His world would literally focus in on her. ❤️❤️❤️

if you have a single bad thing to say about harry james potter do not speak to me. he's my angel
“Hmmm. First kiss?”
Harry blinked, diverting his gaze from the kites in the sky (he was just considering if he was too old to learn how to fly a kite).
“What?”
“Your first kiss,” said Ginny calmly. “How was it?”
“Why do you wanna know about my first kiss?”
“You were the one who suggested we try dating.” She shivered exaggeratedly as if the word offended her. Harry couldn’t help his laugh.
“How scandalous of me.”
“Usually people go on dates before they are in a relationship,” she noted, raising their intertwined hands.
“You know me, I don’t do things the usual way.”
Ginny smiled, moving closer to him on the bench. “This feels pretty normal,” she said in a small voice, winking at him.
Harry flushed, pleased; Ginny was right. So far, the day had been ordinary and that was the best compliment he could give it. Leaving the wizarding world behind to walk upon Muggle London had been a simple and yet brilliant idea. Here, there was no pressure, no tension upon any of their shoulders.
Here he was just an eighteen-year-old guy enjoying the day with his gorgeous girlfriend, two unknown faces in the middle of this very crowded city; a normal couple sitting on a bench at Hyde Park.
“So—your first kiss?”
In sickness and in health.
