From an 8000 point apocalypse game at the shop. Trying out the Planetary Onslaught: Siege scenarios. Loads of fun, bugs didn't fare too well but hey. That was just the first wave.
Skirmish against the Tau
In a victory point oriented game the Cults came up short by just 2 points in a final score of 12 to 14 against a Tau/Eldar hybrid list. Although well fought to the very end, the interception made by the Tau made bringing cultists back to the field a daunting task. Although this is merely a setback. The cult returns to the shadows to lick their wounds but they’ll be back, and with more firepower.
Hindsight says I should’ve taken pictures to go along with this post. Hindsight is also the name of the magus who died in that battle.
Final progress picture, the next group of pics will be finished model, basing and all. Just a billion tiny details and highlights to do yet.
Banner progress! Bright enough to attract Hive Fleet Malem and instill courage into the cult, but dull enough to not attract S10 AP1 shots! Huzzah!
Say hello to the newest addition to the Green Oyster Cult, the Iconward Gregg. Gregg will lead the subterranean cult to many victories against their oppressors. Or at least one before they are consumed by the ever-devouring swarm that is their loving masters, Hive Fleet Malem.
Like a hairless guinea pig with a knife taped to its back the entirety of Hive Fleet Malem makes way for Tau space, and with its arrival, an all too familiar battle cry was ushered forth: " Hey. You're in my spot. " And so the Tau responded “We don’t see your name on it.” To which the Gaunt cried “Look closer, jackass.” And though offended, the Tau did look closer at the spot and note the odd symbol there was. They turn to the foaming lizard before them that was suffering from some sort of seizure and muttered “Hey, look man just because you’re marking shit don’t make it yours” Well. They really shouldn’t have said that because the Tau have not been spared the mercy of Hive Fleet Malem since.
