The best thing about watching Behind The Scenes videos on any Aliens movie: seeing xenomorphs walking around and chatting, chilling.

Alien 3 features the Runner Xenomorph. In the final cut they used a puppet for it running off. Before they came to this decision they tried many different things, including using a crew member's dog in a costume.

I’m so excited to finally show you guys what I spent a few months working on, the Alien King illustration for Sideshow Collectibles as a companion print to their upcoming Alien King statue. I spent a really long time on this piece, so many little aliens to work in there, not to mention the king itself. I’m a huge Alien fan so this project was especially satisfying, I could paint aliens for day(which is exactly what I did). What is your guy’s favorite alien design? You know, as much as I enjoyed Prometheus, it’s almost unfathomable how much they fucked up the design of Old Slappy here. 

What’s even more unbelievable was the fact that they got the designer from AVP.

I kind of wish the Alien movies would do more with the Facehuggers. They’re so awesome. They could pull a Tremors and have one that can’t turn into an xenomorph, and instead spits acid, maybe even make it capable of flight (something some of the video games explored). Something a lil more y’know?
