does anyone else have that one article of clothing they wear so much that its like their character design
I did a calculation of how much time I’ve spent with my children this year, compared to how much time I’ve spent with these two, and it’s a factor of 5 to 1.
Concept: Thomas & Friends, but dubbed over by the Top Gear guys
Would genuinely pay a lot of money to see this.

Kurt Vonnegut wrote: “When I was 15, I spent a month working on an archeological dig. I was talking to one of the archeologists one day during our lunch break and he asked those kinds of “getting to know you” questions you ask young people: Do you play sports? What’s your favorite subject? And I told him, no I don’t play any sports. I do theater, I’m in choir, I play the violin and piano, I used to take art classes.
And he went WOW. That’s amazing! And I said, “Oh no, but I’m not any good at ANY of them.”
And he said something then that I will never forget and which absolutely blew my mind because no one had ever said anything like it to me before: “I don’t think being good at things is the point of doing them. I think you’ve got all these wonderful experiences with different skills, and that all teaches you things and makes you an interesting person, no matter how well you do them.”
And that honestly changed my life. Because I went from a failure, someone who hadn’t been talented enough at anything to excel, to someone who did things because I enjoyed them. I had been raised in such an achievement-oriented environment, so inundated with the myth of Talent, that I thought it was only worth doing things if you could “Win” at them.

Shout out to the doctor who responded with complete sincerity when I (on anesthesia) uttered the phrase “chat are we cooked” in her medical professional vicinity. You’re such a real one for that fr fr
my first wondertrade in oras and i got a machamp incredible
all it knows is dig
level 31 and it just knows dig
what am i supposed to do with this
is
is this machamp’s name “homo matsuri”
as in
“homo festival”
yea this is good
Some more interesting information:
“Dig” in Japanese was originally “Ana wo horu,” which translates to “Dig a hole,” with the direct object’s being “Ana,” “a hole” and the verb’s being “horu,” “dig.”
The common writing of “ana,” “穴,” is the same as a colloquial term for the buttocks, “ketsu.”
“Horu,” in addition to it’s more standard definition, is also a slang verb meaning “to have anal sex (between two men).”
Your new Machamp is named “Homo Festival,” and it’s only move is to fuck a man in the ass.
I had a hunch so I looked into it, and I’m pretty convinced now that it being lv31 is also a pun, via goroawase (matching numbers phonetically to create words). there’s a lot of different ways you can do goroawase due to most digits having multiple possible pronunciations, but there’s one particular reading here that stands out:
3 can be san or mi. 1 can be ichi, hi, or to.
mito is a polite archaic word for genetalia.
its name is Homo Festival, its level is penis, and its only move is to fuck a man in the ass. a masterwork.

I took my little brother (autistic, mostly non verbal) out and he was using his voice keyboard to tell me something, and this little boy (maybe 4 or 5?) heard him and asked me "Is he a robot??" I tried to explain to him that no, he isn't a robot, he just communicates differently, but my darling brother was in the background max volume "I am robot I am robot I am robot I am robot"
My little brother insisted if I was going to post about him, he wanted a cut of the "profits". When I explained to him that Tumblr isn't monetized, and is pretty pointless, he and my older brother pointed out that he'd still be bringing me "fame and notoriety" if the post got "big". So we agreed, if the post hit 10k notes, which seemed extremely farfetched and silly at the time, I'd take my little brother out for sushi (his favorite food) and let him eat as much as he wants.
I guess God wanted the little robot to enjoy some sushi 🍣 🥲
