Unpopular opinion:
In a healthy marriage, there is no “in my eyes" and “in your eyes" on most matters. There is only “in our eyes”, and those eyes are informed by Christ alone.
My fingers may be quiet but my mind isn't.
We're talking about Truth with a capital T.
Ever thought about Truth with a capital T? As in, the real deal? Maybe not, maybe so. Either way, this article is for you.
I love the mature feeling of buying nicer facial products and higher end makeup to replace your old expired stuff from girlhood.
It's the same feeling as switching your scents over from teen body sprays to signature perfumes and oils.
It's a way to signal the change in heart and spirit going on inside and the transforming of my mind.

Make sure you balance your foundation of victory in Christ with the validation of other's sorrows.
We might have victory in Christ, but we also go through very difficult things, and we need to not push past the moments of pain and grief.
Even Jesus wept and spent time in grief, especially in community and with the Father in privacy.
There needs to be a place for sorrow in our churches again.
Sitting in sorrow while your church plays pretend isn't fun. Ever been there?

Check out my latest post on suffering and the church and it's tendency to play pretend with sadness.
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised" (NIV).
Proverbs 31:30
As married ladies, we actually do have a duty to remain attractive for our husbands, and they are supposed to be mindful of their bodies as well.
This means gym/fitness activities, grooming/hygiene maintenance, etc.
Sometimes serving your husband looks like getting a brazilian and making brownies 😂
I wish I could condense this moment and keep it.
A quick 2 min read, packed full of a lifetime of gratitude.
Give it a look and let me know what you think!
Knowing something and doing that thing are completely different circumstances to be in.
Knowledge brings guilt if you disobey God while knowing you are doing so, and then refuse to repent.
It's a scary place to be, so don't be there. Go to Jesus.
Your thoughts are worthwhile. The essays on repeat in the back of your mind deserve to be written and read, even if only in a diary and by you.
Just like books can be heavy, our unwritten thoughts weigh us down until we give them a new home on the paper.
Writing is transferring weight in real time.
Growing into womanhood out of girlhood is sooo weeeiirrddd
Trying to be authentic to myself and in my relationship with the world.
Been wanting some biblical inspired scents to wear as perfume, especially myrrh and frankincense. Definitely also hyssop.
Do any of you ladies wear scents like that?
Pray over the bed you make. Pray over the counters you wipe. Pray over the food you cook and the clothes you put away. Pray over the car maintenance and the bills. Make everything mundane a part of your faith.
It doesn't have to be fancy, just be present in the moment with God.
