Help needed

So, it seems like everything in my life is going downhill, and my wife and I really need help. My wife was unemployed for a total of about 5 months in 2023, and it caused us to go deeply into debt and get behind on our rent payments. We are currently over one month behind on rent, and our leasing company has decided to evict us. We will be evicted on February 25th, which is about a month away.

I lost my job on 1/8, and I was the breadwinner between the two of us. I've been doing door dash to try and make what I can, but with all the gas I use I'm only making about $50 a day. We only have one car and no public transportation around us, so it's very hard for me to find a new job (I am trying). It needs to be close enough to my wife's job that we can carpool.

We are extremely worried about having nowhere to go after we get evicted. Rent in our state is crazy and we have barely 500 saved. We have a court date next week for expired tags on our car where we will have to pay a fine. My wife also has asthma and no health insurance currently (it starts in February), so we're going to have to pay $200 for one of her inhalers this week.

I'm very worried about being able to find a place if i don't have a job. Even if I get a new job before we're evicted, which I hopefully will, I won't have a very long employment history which is something that leasing offices look for. We also have very bad credit due to our debts from the past year.

We've tried reaching out to friends and family, but no one can accommodate us. We have five cats, and it would be impossible to live in our small sedan with all of them, especially in February, which is the snowiest month in our state. If we lose our cats, I'm really not sure how we will handle that. They are our babies and family.

If anyone can help us out by donating to us or sharing this post, it would be greatly appreciated. We're trying to look into every resource possible but with only a month until we have to move out, we're really scared that we're going to be pushed into losing our cats and living out of our car. Fictional characters are objects.

They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.

Stop telling people to encourage the cop inside their head.

How you treat fictional characters, given they are entirely objects of fiction, does NOT necessarily speak to your own character, and you do not need to be "careful".

It is not dangerous to imagine dark things happening to fictional characters. It does not mean you are secretly a bad person. It does not mean you unconsciously want to hurt people in real life. It is not a "slippery slope" to doing bad things to people in real life. You cannot damage your brain or turn yourself into a bad person by consuming "dark" fanfic.

I can write tentacle noncon of my favorite character all day long and be a fierce anti-sexual assault advocate in real life because what I do in my head is not the same thing as what I do in real life.

This reminds me of another time I was at a trans rights protest. A couple of assholes had rolled up to counter protest. No one did anything about it. So the punks and I took matters into our own hands, charged them, broke up the counter protest, and ran FOX news off of the scene for good measure. And what did we get? All the organizers rounding us up and preaching about peace and love and harmonious resistance or whatever the fuck.

none of this absolves doctors of the truly horrendous things they say and do to patients, but it's important to acknowledge that rather than every doctor being coincidentally a bad person, there is something specific about this field and career path that gives rise to such high prevalence of ableist attitudes
