How to write(themes, stories, plots, characters, conflicts) .

Drawing a comic:

Groundbreaking ways to make art by using programs and coding.

Inventing new narrative languages and cultures.

Old techniques/disciplines are still used but without needing all-day labour.

Translations and Scanalations.

Listening to and Singing to Music:

Genres: metal, alternative(goth), punk, electronic,funk, jazz.

Scale Notes, Belting/Mixing, Arrangements, Music Themes/Leitmotifs, Singer interpretations, Singer in character, Singer growth, Orchestra and Music piece improvement over the years based on a new interpretation

Indie Musicians, Free sound musicians, Sample musicians.

Gaming:

Games made by small teams that are simple.

Games with a story that change you.

Games that have good writing, good art, a lot of effort and a lot of love.

The thing with fandom is that new fandoms dive in the crossovers and memes too fast. Those are when you run out of material from the show. If there isn't anything to genuinely mull over and think about it regarding the show besides character personalities squished into boxes like angry, happy, loser, etc, and the fandom can only make memes from the series because it's "quotable" then it's dire out there lol.

Two months ago, I read a seven-hundred-page collection of short stories by John Cheever.

Yeah, I mention Leo Tolstoy a lot because he's my benchmark for the apex of great fiction writing.

Would you rather I use someone else instead? Saadat Hasan Manto? Most of you haven't read Manto. Marcel Proust? Too long, and he essentially devoted his life to a single novel. Vladimir Nabokov? You people hate him. Fyodor Dostoevsky? I don't trust myself to spell his name correctly every time.

To be a good writer you have to be able to execute 1 to 80 themes perfectly. That is the goal. Also create a rich world where some of the themes you don't have time for can still exist and delicious concepts and dynamics. And political commentary and anything you want to mention.

Children media handle 1 theme, explaining it clearly, concisely and with love. Book media have about 4-6 themes because of limited length. More if it's a series! Subtext implications are hard btw. Videogames can have 10-30 themes because of the audiovisual & interactive experience. Movies, same as videogames, but also because real people are playing these characters their expertise, education and interpretations of the roles add a new flavour to the piece.

Webnovels and comics mix and match and also can be longer than a book or a movie or a videogame.

Children's media intentionally show a limited scope of the world. They can't show all the nuances and grey areas. They just show the "good side". What a good person would do.

Book media can show the nuance but up to a point. Again limited page count. You can't get socialist in fiction it's just 40 pages away. We did all this growth, leave some for introspection. Some people achieve socialism in the book.

Video games are limited perspective. But the thing about it, is, it throws you a million sensory ticks in sound, video, or text.

Movies are limited only by the camera(s). Who do they choose to react and speak and their timing is crucial for the story. Each actor emotes in their own way.

Webnovels and comics can show everything with hyperlinks to other pages that explore those things away from the main storyline. I guess the limits is the web hosting.

Am I the only one that doesn’t see Flowery’s feelings towards Asgore as wanting to get inside of his pants. At least not fully yk

I kinda see his feelings for Asgore as feeling immense gratitude towards him and wanting to try his best to make the guy that had saved him and his friend’s life for 20 plus years happy. Like I’m fine with the interpretation of Flowery having romantic feelings for Asgore but the platonic explanation feels a lot more interesting. At least in my opinion. Like the reason he said that Asgore didn’t have to care for the real world/his real family at the moment is because of how often Asgore seems to vent about his life to the flowers. And I think a character like Flowery would probably take it really hard and try to become the perfect companion for Asgore in the Darkworld without any romantic feelings for him because all he ever wanted was to make him happy. Y’know
