Ok, I don't want anyone to misunderstand me here. I try my best not to judge people by the way they look or by body type. We're all of different shapes and sizes and that's wonderful and we should embrace and love ourselves and our differences. I know from personal experience what it's like to have your ego and confidence damaged by people telling you that you're too much of this or not enough of that. No one has the right to police anyone's body.
But I have to admit that I'm not completely okay with how the message is conveyed by this comic strip. Because every now and then, it IS okay to ask about or point out bodily changes to people you know (close friends and/or family that you think would be okay with something like that coming from you). Because rapid weight loss or gain can indicate that something is seriously wrong, physically and/or mentally. Same goes for sudden muscle loss or gain.
So if someone close to you goes through sudden physical changes and you don't know why, it IS okay to ask, and you SHOULD ask. Ask if they're doing anything different. Ask how they're feeling. Ask if they're okay. Because PHYSICAL and MENTAL HEALTH is always more important than our appearance. But very often our health, or lack thereof, shows on our outwards appearance.
