2nd Gen Homestuck

Please read: This is my 2nd Gen Homestuck fan story. It involves GIFs, Pictures, Text, Music, Audio and more. The ships involved are John/Karkat, Dave/Jade, Rose/Kanaya, Gamzee/Tavros, Nepeta/Equius, Sollux/Eridan, Terezi/Vriska, Feferi/Aradia, as well as (though not as much) Jake/Dirk and Roxy/Jane. If you do not like any of these pairings, the idea of 2nd Gen, half-trolls or very long fanstorys this is not for you. Don't like, don't read. Its that simple.

As you expected, they kiss, you roll your eyes at it and decide to zone out for the next couple of things said by your dads because you'd rather not see the eye wriggles Dad does or hear about how much more inviting the bed sounds now from Karkat-dad.  It's not that your immature and find it gross to talk about sex or anything, but this is your dads and its just not a thing that you'd like to hear on the morning of your birthday from your parents thank you very much.  Eventually the two of them finally agree on going to work, a little earlier then normal for once, and turn to say goodbye to you.

JOHN: okay, we have to go, sorry we can't be here for your special day or anything kailie

KAILIE: its fine dad!  pr()mise!

KARKAT: BYE KAILIE, BE GOOD, MAKE SURE YOU AND DIRN DON'T WRECK THE FUCKING HOUSE AND WHAT NOT

KAILIE: n() pr()mises, but i'll try t() make sure we're careful!

JOHN: okay, have a good morning and we'll see you later

KAILIE: l()ve y()u b()th!

KARKAT: LOVE YOU TOO KAILIE. HAPPY WRIGGLING DAY

JOHN: love you!  happy birthday!

With that they both kiss you on the head and leave to go to work, you turn to go make breakfast but as you go to do so you're ringtone, which tends to change every week or so thanks to a certain cosin, goes off with 'I'm in Heaven when you Kiss Me' by ATC.

You and Dad talk for a while before a tired Karkat-Dad walks in, hands wrapping around Dad's torso and head resting on his shoulder.

KARKAT: JOHN, CAN WE JUST GO THE FUCK BACK TO BED

KARKAT: I WANNA SLEEP

KARKAT: AND YOUR COMFY TO SLEEP ON

 JOHN: hehe, hop sorry karkat but we both have to work remember

KARKAT: DON'T WANNA FUCKING WORK

KARKAT: WANNA SLEEP

KARKAT: COME ON

KARKAT: SLEEP

KARKAT: ITS CALLING US JOHN

KARKAT: THE BED IS LONELY AND IS CALLING US TO IT

KARKAT: WE CAN'T KEEP THE BED WAITING JOHN

KARKAT: THAT WOULD BE UNFRIENDLY

 JOHN: you were talking to dave weren't you?

KARKAT: MAYBE

 JOHN: hehe, come on karkat, we gotta go to work now

KARKAT: DON'T WANNA

 JOHN: you have to.

JOHN: we both do

KARKAT: CAN'T FUCKING MAKE ME GO

 JOHN: bet i can

KARKAT: TRY ME FUCKASS

JOHN: hehe

This happens way to often.  Karkat-dad isn't really a morning person (troll) and he gets really tired (and really cuddly towards Dad) when he can't sleep in until noon.  You know what happens next because it happens every time.

You follow the sound and find John-dad playing his piano.  You know this tune well, although you were never taught it.  When ever dad plays it he has this distance sad look on his face like he is remembering something from long ago.  You've don't stop him as he plays because you like hearing him play.  John-dad taught you everything you know about the Piano but you've never been as good as him and your not sure if you ever will.

Eventually the song ends and John dad looks over to see you there.

JOHN: oh!  i didn't see you there kailie.

KAILIE: i kn()w, i just wanted to say g()()d m()rning bef()re y()u went ()ff t() w()rk

JOHN i'm so sorry we have to work on your special day!

KAILIE: its fine dad.  pr()mise

JOHN: but you'll be all alone on your birthday morning!  :(

KAILIE: i'll have strider t() keep me c()mpany, alth()ugh i'm n()t to sure thats a g()()d thing.

JOHN: hehe, just promise me you guys won't fight.

KAILIE: n() m()re than n()rmal

JOHN: okay fine, promise me you won't wreck the house

FUCK NO!

That just so happens to be your dads movie shelf.  They have a lot of movies.  Most of them are CRAP.  Oh god the countless hours you've spent being forced to watch some of the most terrible movies in the whole world, or two races really.  They suck.  That is why your Uncle and yourself, as well as almost everyone else you know, agree that it is the most shameful shelf in the whole fucking frog.

You will not examine shelf because you don't feel like torturing yourself today.  Instead you'd rather do something less torturous.  Like go talk to your dads or something that doesn't involve their trouble movie taste.

You finally manage to go downstairs and, after hearing music, know exactly where dad will be so you take the steps to at a time.  You head to the music room, passing what you and your uncle call 'The Shame Shelf' along the way.

You go to leave your room and say good morning to your parents only to be stopped by a sound coming from your computer.  You turn the screen on to find that you are being pestered.  By none over than Strider.  You sigh and go to sit on your cha- where the fuck is your chair?  Oh for fucks sake.  You bet it was Strider.  Its always Strider.
