Does anyone else ever think/ruminate about what the beatles would have been doing if they weren't famous?

I know THE Eric Idle literally said George could have been a comedian, but when I imagine his life without the beatles, I do prefer to think of him as a shitty comedian. It just feels more enticing, somehow, for George to languish at open mic nights, soaked in flop sweat as he desperately tries to be part of a world that has repeatedly and viciously rejected him, sending these earnest, lonely bids for connection out into the unforgiving silence, and fully incapable of letting this dream go because no matter what happens he loves this. Just straight up fucking obsessed with the world of comedy. One of these people who adores and respects the alchemy of creating humor regardless of whether they have it themselves. Graced with perpetual obscurity, his biggest dream a sisyphean task, and he is so much happier that way.

Paul was literally always going to be a famous musician, but if we push that aside and force him to fit into an un-famous life, I think he’d actually be quite a good high school teacher. Good teachers are well-spoken and passionate, almost like good storytellers, which is why Paul would be so fantastic and so adored. But good teaching also comes from a place of humility, and that’s where it gets a bit dicey. He’d try very hard to be a popular kid, while also impressing on his students that he’s a lot smarter than them and they should be very impressed -- and on some level it would work, and he would experience a microcosm of fame within this little school. But high school, even more than fame, is fickle. You can’t be both the cool kid everyone loves and the smart kid everyone's impressed with, and you can’t be either if you’re a 45 year old man. So his star would constantly be slipping, and he would constantly be fighting to bring it back up.

John would be in prison. You couldn’t get away with being any of these people if you weren’t famous, but I think George and Paul would find a way to restrain themselves (Paul particularly). They’d probably get punched in the face a lot, almost as much as they deserved, but they wouldn’t do anything quite severe enough to be incarcerated. John, though, doesn’t seem to have had much choice in the matter, and I suspect sooner rather than later he’d end up in prison.
