howdy! my name is mel (they/them) and i am a hobbist artist and animator. im taking the time to reintroduce myself, as i was away from tumblr (and art in general, to be honest) for a long time, and i am trying to push myself to become more creative again. what can you expect from me? honestly im not sure! all art will be tagged under #melandoodles, while oc art will be further tagged by the story it is associated with. #olaa - our lives after autumn - an ongoing story that features characters nalissa, stathera and cosmos, among others. currently has a short animation in progress for it! #unicornwarriorscomic or #unicornwarriors - an untitled comic series that i started with a friend of mine named imugi_inks on instagram. fantasy, tragedy, drama, or action, this story goes all over the place. we have at least two aus for it.

I miss tma season one when Jon puts his whole archivussy into a statement and then ends it by saying "yeah lmao this probably didn't happen. I asked Martin to look into it and he found nothing because he sucks and I hate him. Tim got me more information, probably because he's such a fucking slut. Sasha was also very useful. I love Sasha because she's so dependable and trustworthy. Nothing bad will ever happen to Sasha to make her less dependable or trustworthy."

This is my Knight Radiant and Stormlight Archive oc/ttrpg character; Ilmari Dyril!

He's a noble from Iri (whose main residents are actually not originally from the planet that stormlight archive takes place, they're a travelling people who go to different planets to get new experiences and their religion believes that once their journey is complete they will reunite as One and so their culture is very much about making new experiences and innovating and stuff). Ilmari is the youngest of three children with a bit of an age gap between him and his closest sibling.

His sister is a pretty accomplished member of the military and his brother is going more into politics, this left Ilmari with nothing he really needed to *do* as a noble. After having some schooling in politics and stuff he found it too stuffy and decided to enter the military. He enjoyed this much more because he felt like it was more immediately applicable and after training he and his squad went around the country protecting villages and stuff.

However, eventually his squad got called to go help invade Rira (neighboring country). Ilmari did not want to fight people just living their life. So he lied to his superiors and said he felt "the call" to go out and experience stuff. After talking with the religious folks around they dismissed him and he's gone on a walking journey across the continent (for the past 5 years) trying to learn more swordplay along the way.

Since then Ilmari has met Kesrin, a member of the listener people, learned about slavery and hates it (but is scared of reprocutions to do something about it) and joined a party that's helping the stone shaman Taszo-son-clutio. He's gained the attention of a Lightspren and is close to speaking The Words. He's just started his journey and has much to learn about true freedom.

In regards to your Spies Arrr Forever thing:

There's this Japanese tokusatsu show called Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger where the MC (Red) and his privateer arch-nemesis are pretty much Curt and Owen but as space pirates. Although it takes until the fifteenth episode for pirate-Owen shows up, his and pirate-Curt's dynamic is one I adore so much.
