“yeah? what is it?” while munching his food. he was waiting for what you are about to say.

you look at his face. he was looking down but you can see sadness in his eyes. the frustration he’s feeling. you know he wants to spend time with you and you do too but his manager was right. it won’t just affect you but also, more importantly, his career.

jeongguk didn’t say a word. he just nodded even though he was unwilling to do so. he knows his manager is right. he was right so he agreed. but what really made him think of it, was you. he loves his career and fans but so does he love you and hearing that you might get involve with everything that’s happening.. that your safety might be put at risk.. he gave in. you are his strength but also his weakness both at the same time. he doesn’t want you to get hurt so he didn’t push through.

his manager tapped his shoulder and walked out. he was about to take his phone from his pocket when you appeared in front of him.

“hey!” you tried lifting up the mood although you know anytime, tears would fall right down your face. he looked surprised but gave you an assuring smile after.

“hi...” he immediately grabs you and hugged you so tight that you couldn’t even move. “i missed you.. so damn much..” and there you lost it. a tear escaped your eye but you wiped it out fast so he won’t see.

“i missed you, too.” you have a lot of things to say but your mind and mouth aren’t cooperating. you just wrapped your arms around jeongguk too while feeling his warm tight hug. you can feel your knees shaking and your heart beating so fast. you tried gathering up all your strength and let go from the hug.

“i’m sorry, y/n. i know i promised to take you out tonight for dinner but-” before he could even finish his sentence, you stopped him by placing your finger on his lip and dragged him somewhere in the building where there were less people and more private.

“you don’t need to explain. i understand.” you smiled. a fake one. maybe this is how it should have been. it’s for the both of you.

“jeongguk..” hesitantly looking up to him. his eyes were confused and you can see sadness in them like they’re asking for an apology. “you know how much i love you, right? and i know how much you love me, too...”

“yeah, so damn much. i don’t even know what to do if i lose you.” a tear escaped your eye

you were waiting for him to say something but instead, he pulled you closer then hugged you so tight. you can feel he’s already crying. he couldn’t talk but his tight embrace felt like he said everything he wanted to. his embrace that could bring back your broken pieces together.
