vague notes for the second version of that vampire AU, where frank turns samira instead :)

and it's nothing but the most general outline with snippets of dialogue lol. anyway samira's still human and waiting on robby to finally turn her, but he keeps delaying it (adamson is killed by hunters, then frank is reprimanded by the council, then heather leaves the coven) so when she overhears that he's planning a six month trip to the old country for himself and his new favorite not-yet fledglings (trin + dennis), she pleads her case. robby's pushing back (it's just not a good time, samira. when is it ever?) and the argument escalates, because it's them, until they notice frank trying (and failing) to quietly slip out of robby's study

samira's obviously embarrassed but robby can barely handle being in the same room as him, let alone both of them, so he flippantly suggests that samira let frank turn her, if she's so desperate for it (or you can wait until we get back. think of frank as my proxy. or something) which obviously cuts her deep (that's all i'm worth to you?) so she's moping around the manor, certain that it's too much to seriously expect from frank (she should run away and join heather's new coven in portland... but it's so far from home. maybe she could reach out to baran? she treats mel and her other fledglings well... or maybe she should just give up on the whole thing and dedicate herself to her studies, try to salvage her R4 year. ugggh) when he interrupts her spiraling to awkwardly offer her exactly that

followed by a fun yoyo cameo (damn, that's cold. maybe robby will let me turn trinity) + abby mention (they're divorced w/o kids in these AUs because i want her to haunt frank like samira's father haunts her). it's a messy process (fledgling is drained of their blood, then fed their sire's blood) but they turn it into something fun and sweeter than either of them expected

one of the two versions of a vampire AU that i've been rotating in my mind for MONTHS... where samira is robby's latest fledgling and frank guides her through the first few weeks of vampirehood

langhan as robby's lost (abandoned) fledglings essentially, since robby's all but left samira to fend for herself and frank lost robby's favor after drawing the ire of the larger pittsburgh coven for engaging in risky hunting behaviors. it's just them in robby's sprawling manor so it's awkward and tense and she's hungry, and angry, and uncomfortable (her body's adapting to her new needs and senses) but maybe more than anything else, samira's jealous of frank. from my notes: she imagines him sleeping in robby's bed, robby spoiling his first fledgling in a century. later, once robby's extended his leave, she expects to see pity in frank's eyes but all she finds is a twisted sort of understanding. it’s like looking in a broken mirror.

parker + john cameos because they remained friends with frank after everything (yoyo too, but she's in the other version of this AU) plus i think parker + samira's dynamic is fun (mohellis crumbs). they invite her on their next hunt (think blade's nightclubs) and she confides in frank that she's nervous about her first live feeding so he's like. well. you could practice on me. and the rest is history (aka vague scenes in my head)

part of a pair of wips exploring langhan's reactions to each other's risky moves (samira's ich drainage? burr hole craniotomy? NAD... and frank's cervical reduction) with the working title of "neuro hates to see me coming"

my original notes were "frank learns about the mohan maneuver (silly) and gets hard imagining her holding him down and drilling him, no warning, no pleasantries, no promises that it'll be okay or it'll only hurt for a moment, just that wild look in her eyes" meanwhile samira's struck by the image of frank being bullied into risky behavior by robby on his first day back (he's sweating bullets, leaning over her, firmly grasping her neck, asking her to breathe for me and tell me if it hurts, okay?)

followed by a funky little scene where samira doesn't want to draw further attention to herself (despite still thinking that something's very wrong at that point) so frank performs her ekg + physical exam instead of another attending/resident/nurse (and robby's busy w duke, who arrived early for his own scan). a bit of touch starved samira (she wants, desperately, but she doesn't know exactly what or how yet) + service top frank (purely professional for the time being, he just wants to be useful again) plus her father haunting the narrative <3
