Blender is an excellent freeware 3D renderer,possibly better than After Effects
Lightzone to replace Lightroom
Inkscape to replace Illustratr
Audacity to replace Audition (I also received a free version of Pro Tools with my Scarlett Solo audio interface)
If Adobe is going to be greedy shitheads, then fuck ‘em. Don’t use their stuff. Freeware can be just as good, if not better, than Adobe CC.

Affinity Serif has a creative suite of applications. They take one time payments with absolutely no subscription.
Affinity Designer - to replace Illustrator
Affinity Photo - to replace Photoshop and Lightroom. (Unfortunately no gif making capabilities yet).
Affinity Publisher - to replace InDesign.
DaVinci Resolve - Powerful Non-linear editing software, including color correction, audio editing, and motion graphics. Most agencies and studios have now started using it. And the best news it has a free version that practically has almost everything the paid studio version has.
There is a bit of a learning curve since this is a pro-editing tool.
All the tools above are Mac and Windows compatible.
