💕 Love Potion
This love potion* uses elderberries and jasmine and can be used to either strengthen an already established romantic relationship, or to attract love that will result in a long-lasting relationship.
You will need:
100 ml water, 2-3 hands of elderberries**, 1 hand of jasmine flowers**, a squeeze of lemon juice, 3-5 tbsp of sugar, edible glitter (optional)
The potion
During the waxing moon, fill the water in a jar or a similar see-through container and place it in front of a window where the moonlight can fall on the water. Take a moment to meditate on the purpose of the potion: How do you envision the love you wish to attract? How will the potion affect you and your partner? Why have you chosen to craft this love potion? Let your intent flow into the water (i.e., through visualisation or words).
The next morning, pour your moon water into a sauce pan and heat it to a simmer. Add the elderberries (remove the stems to avoid a bitter flavour), jasmine and lemon juice. As you add each ingredient, re-focus on your intent. As the previous night, use visualisation or words to affirm your intentions. You might imagine the love you wish to attract as light that you stir (sunwise) into the potion along with the ingredients. Or, you might verbally charge your potion by saying a few words, be it an incantation, a poem that has a special meaning for you, or simply stating your intent.
Cover the pan and let the potion simmer for a few minutes. Then turn of the heat and let the potion infuse for about 20 minutes.
Bring the potion back to a simmer and stir in the sugar. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes, then turn off the heat and let the potion cool down. Once it is cold enough so that you won't burn yourself, strain the liquid into a small bottle or jar. If you like, you can now add a few pinches of edible glitter (for aesthetic reasons - but even without the potion's colour alone makes it very beautiful).
To strengthen a relationship share the potion with your partner. (Dilute some of the potion with water, or add it to a drink.) To attract love, enjoy it on your own. Which ever may be the case, the potion can easily be incorporated into bigger rituals, ceremonies or spell crafting.

Disclaimer: raw elderberries are toxic, cooked, however, they are safe to consume; if you have an autoimmune disease, talk to your doctor before using elderberries. When collecting elderberries (or any other part of the tree), it is advisable to ask the tree for permission before taking anything. Take only as much as you need (this goes for all foraging) and thank the tree.
