When we look at our reflections in the pond of life our initial thoughts fall from our heads and glide across the surface exposing our deepest, most inner thoughts and feelings. We feel numb to the lies we tell ourselves. We create fantasies of what we hope will happen, chasing after the people who don’t want us. And then when we pour out our existing thoughts, we’re left with disappointment and heartbreak. After this event, the pond begins to ripple with proceeding thoughts and actions brought forward. Our control of the situation now slips away as the waves grow further from us. As the ripples drift away, we begin to draw closer to reality. You are left an uneasy feeling of your world being disturbed. The desire to have your perfect reflection is not enough for the truth to settle the water.
