so uuh, i guess, since there are more people coming across this blog i should introduce myself?? hi!!!
don't exactly know what to write but my name's Dee/hypnic! i'm a 22 y.o. amateur artist and a professional dumbass. i speak English, Russian, and am currently learning German (please talk to me in German, i would love to practice!!)
i tend to disappear from the web fairly often but i want to give this... blogging/social presence thing another go and maybe someone would like to stick around for that???
i absolutely suck at interacting with people online but feel free to contact me thru asks/dms!!!! i read through ALL of the notes/reblogs/asks and appreciate every single one of you QwQ
i don't do commission work but I DO TAKE ART REQUESTS! please, please share your ideas with me through asks/dms, i can't promise to draw everything but i would still love to hear your fandom ideas/see your OCs as long as you keep them SFW <- no shade to the freaky ones, just not something i am willing to put out there

anyways, keep reading if you want to know more about me??
my general interests are natural sciences (especially biology and biotech), language studies, photography (especially conceptual/surrealist/experimental genres) and, obviously, art (and, yes, i do unironically enjoy abstract/contemporary art and i can find more beauty in watching paint dry than it that hyperealistic painting of a person's face)
i am obsessed with technical/industrial things and machinery, as well as nature/biology, so, naturally, i love cyberpunk as a setting/idea. in general, the concept of natural and artificial being intertwined in their coexistence excites me to no end, as well as the ability to augment one's body as they see fit (the things i'd do to get my bad joints forever replaced with metal ahdhjenssk). aesthetics-wise, I'm also a sucker for vaporwave and webcore, because.... yes.
i am also interested in different religions/mythology and philosophical ideas (i find the human mind fascinating in general)
i love bright colors and stylized art and my music taste ranges from goreshit and listening to sorting algorhithms work to that one song everybody likes, you will NOT surprize me lol
i rarely participate in fandom culture but i currently obsess over Arcane. other shows i enjoy are Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, Murder Drones, The Amazing Digital Circus, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Regular Show and probably some other stuff i can't think of right now
my fav games are too boring to list here but i love story-driven games, puzzles, text-based adventures and RPGmaker games. also simulators when i want my brain to shut up. actual games that i love dearly are Cyberpunk 2077, Kingdom Hearts series, Oblivion/Skyrim, Danganronpa, and some PSP era classics (i still play on PSP and want to buy an NDS, fite me)
i mostly draw my and my partner's OCs, so after/if my hyperfixation fades and jayvik finally lets my throat out of a chokehold, expect to see very little fanart :(
ALSO my partner is @schnoodleus <- pls check her out!!! she is a great artist, who has taught me MANY things and got me into digital art in the first place but DO BE AWARE THAT SHE POSTS NSFW WORKS!!!
if you somehow managed to get through this stream of thought, i applaud you because it probably was a painful experience and also CAN WE BE FRIENDS??
(no but if you actually... want to...? please know that i struggle with maintaining relationships with people and please be aware that i might just nope out of existence for no apparent reason and then come back next year like "ayo whazzup?")
1. Never tell anyone what you're planning to do until you do it (you will get a premature dopamine hit and sense of accomplishment from telling them and lose motivation to actually do it)
Confession: The letter “t” key on my laptop has been broken since 2024. From what my research tells me, they can’t fix individual keys on that model, and my laptop is no longer under a warranty, but it seems foolish to fork out over $900 for a new computer, so instead I’ve trained my brain to hit ctrl+v every time I want to hit “t.”
But sometimes I have to copy-paste something else besides “t,” which means I need a readily available place to copy the “t” from.
My first thought was to search “tiger” on Google, but if you can’t type the letter “t,” you just get search results about Bob Iger.
I realized words that end with “t” are easier for Google to autocomplete, so the first one I thought of was “crypt.” But wouldn’t you know, googling “cryp” takes to you to cryptocurrency results, and I REALLY don’t want my algorithm thinking I google that multiple times per week.
Then I remembered a cool place I went in London, called Cafe in the Crypt. It’s exactly what it sounds like and located below St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church. When I type in “Cafe in Cryp,” Google does indeed autocomplete it effectively! So I either keep that search result open in a tab or Google it every day.
So, that being said, if anyone works for St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church’s marketing department and has been utterly flummoxed by an IP address from Virginia that has googled their cafe hundreds of times over the past 6 months… that wasn’t a bot, that was me.
I am the Spiders Georg of Cafe in the Crypt.
Anyway, it’s a pretty cool place to check out if you’re ever in London. Just maybe not cool enough to Google it on a daily basis for months straight.
had to google this as i wasn't familiar with the name. incredibly specific and accurate reference. please don't compare my cat-in-law to a homestuck character again
hell is full. heaven is full. god created a new holding space for souls called hurgle and the only thibg to do here is this infinitely expading jigsaw puzzle of a finely detailed pigeon. we are just slowwwwwly creating little tufts of feathers for eternity . yesterday , greg found a corner piece
people are clowning on this guy on reddit but uhhh let's pause for a minute and ask...so what happens if someone has a skin condition? what if part of their face has been burned? what if they're missing their eyes? and so what if they just have a fuckton of tattoos? recognition algorithms are aligned with the most ""average"" / ""normal"" features which means any deviation gets denied access to shit we didnt need age verification for 1 year ago. i dont care if it's a choice versus not, dont care if it's accessing porn or wikipedia, this needs to stop
