this pride month remember to love and appreciate aromanticism, aromantic people, aromantic love, aromantic relationships. this pride month get more aromantic
sorry i’m reblogging this again but this just makes me so fucking angry. this reminds me of those dudes running game of thrones who had virtually no experience and were allowed to just. treat a multimillion dollar franchise as their little fuck-around-and-learn-about-tv sandbox. why are white men with no credentials allowed to get away with this over and over again while the rest of us have to fight tooth and nail for literal crumbs. i fucking hate the entertainment industry
tfw you realize you put more thought into your self indulgent fanfic in middle school than someone in charge of a multimillion dollar franchise that employs thousands of people and is watched by millions.
I'm not really a fan of 'Protect the dolls' becoming the new media slogan for trans rights. 'Trans men are men trans women are women' had it problems absolutely, centering cis people for our validity and either leaving out or clumsy including nonbinary people with a slapped on 'nonbinary people are...also alive'. But I just watched some red carpet interviews and, while I don't give two shits what an actor I've never heard of from a show I don't watch things about me, I do find it interesting and a little concerning that the majority of people when asked what message they would give to the Trans community on Trans day of visibility just said protect the dolls or acknowledged their fashion, hair, makeup, music genre, ect won't exist without trans women. It feels like trans mascs are only seen as people designed to protect trans women and trans women only exist to be beautiful and fragile. When bathroom bans were first becoming really popular a few years ago I would see posts from white cis passing able bodied post op trans men in women's bathrooms to try and be some kind of got ya to conservatives completely ignoring how many trans men and mascs are harmed, assaulted, and killed by these laws. And I don't like the cis savior idea that trans women need cis people to protect them either. Idk I just think that like trans men need protection too, And trans women deserve love and respect even when they are not fabulous, And trans people don't need cis people to save us.
this pride month i want everyone to consider the benefits of abolishing the sex binary
furthermore, abolish the government systems that require people to categorize themselves into gendered categories. why do y'all need to know that.
no more assigning babies a legal sex at birth. i feel like this should go without saying, but no more surgeries on intersex infants. no more surgeries on intersex children. embrace intersex traits as natural. because they are.
no more gendered dress codes. no more gender markers on passports, driver's licenses, ids. i'm not talking about "adding x" or "adding a third category" i'm talking about no more categories, period. why does the government need to know what my genital situation is? why does the government feel the need to assign me a sex on the basis of genitals? why does the cop who pulled me over need to see an m, or an f, or an x?
no more "gender is a social construct, sex is the thing that's binary." sex is not binary. abolish the idea that it is. normalize conversations about intersex traits. being intersex is natural. the sex binary is a thing imposed by the state.
no more gendered sports. if you really care about equity, sort people into categories based on skill level and athleticism, not gender or sex. the concept that there are only two sexes and that one is inherently weaker than the other is pseudoscience. the male/female hunter/gatherer dichotomy is not based in fact, and is a product of modern sexist cultural biases. one gender is not inherently subservient to the other. people are not inherently different on the basis of sex or gender. it is just more complicated than that.
the concept of multiple genders and sexes beyond the man/woman male/female dichotomy has existed as long as humans have existed. the sex binary only serves to benefit the patriarchy. the gender binary only serves to benefit the patriarchy. continuing to impose it just controls (and harms) the people it forcibly categorizes.
i'm not asking for the end of gender, i'm calling for an acknowledgement of gender and sex that understands the infinite diversity of the human species. i'm suggesting an end to binary systems that only benefit the ruling class. just think about it. okay?
the primary censorship function of "sensitive content" filters has turned it into a very bizarre roulette game.
something marked sensitive content is:
49% - a post that is a bit too critical of imperialism 49% - a trans woman posting literally anything 2% - close up photo of someone's hairy asshole
combine eight pieces of UNCLE TECH SCRAP to create one random UNCLE DEVICE
touch spectrum
Hoo hoo!
fuck i gotta put out traps again
My parasite says i cant do that anymore sorry
My parasite says i have to go
can we please get more representation for everyone who is afamilial, aplatonic, asensual, anaesthetic, and/or alove/loveless? can we please stop forgetting that the a in lgbtqia+ stands for them too?
can we talk about them more? can we make it easier to find information and resources about them? please?
ok you made a teen character hot . now show me one that's realistic.
mhm i can see you gave her boobs. idont care. would it kill you to give her flyaways.
she wakes up late and doesn't eat breakfast and barely getsout the door on itme okayy but liek . how does she have time to wash and perfectly straighten her hair
hes cool and muscly uhm . nice?? what do you wan tme to say.
i think its interesting how hes meant to be an early bloomer but youre not giving him pimples. do you think guys jus t Never Have That Happen and they re exempt from the icky parts of being a teenager
you think they wear braces and it's cute. awesome ! some melanin and freckles and moles are also cute. why do none of your teens have that. question
oh so shes the tough girl yeah. ok i cansee you made her bigger i can see. Yes i know i know youre proud of that. would you consider giving her bruises from the fights she apparently gets into every day. or some scars from the knife stuff you say she does.
sothis ones the grown up oneok! and you made em taller and lankier ok. youre allowed to give em knobbly knees and a big nose and hteyll still be cool ok .
the real question is why does having a good design read immediately to you as having them be attractive. theyre teenagers have the m look like teenagers maybe .beauty is madeup anyways
my bros tags got a POINT !!
Transphobia is about to be signed into law in the UK. We can fight this.
I am begging the UK trans community and its allies to attend the Mass Lobby at Parliament on June 25th, 11am-4pm, organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance.
Last year we broke the record for an LGBT+ mass lobby of Parliament. Will you help us break it again? Join us on 25th June 2026 to demand be
The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.
Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or don’t pass too well.
A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:
Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.
Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240.
Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns
Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.
I cannot stress this enough: Showing up in person matters. It is much more effective than petitions, emails, and letters.
It is a horrible, stressful time, and I am so sorry if you're trans and live in the UK. But I was at last year's mass lobby and the line for greencarding alone stretched around the back gates. It was a record breaking mass lobby and made us impossible to ignore. Let's do even better this time. Details under the cut:
need more glasses wearers in fiction who actually deal with that lifestyle. where is the fogging of the lenses in sudden temperature changes. optometrist visits. wondering why ppl pay for gucci frames for children. your insurance only covering the ugliest frames youve ever seen. the headaches. the disdain for rimless glasses. hassle of 3d movies. seeing cute sunglasses in stores and not being able to wear them because they have no prescription. the headaches. the spares being an old prescription. that fuckass tortoiseshell pattern on every other pair. keeping them clean. the headaches.
I think a lot of transmisogyny stems from this idea that people are really scared to see a dick. The reason bathrooms and locker rooms and hot springs keep being flash points is because these are all places where if a trans woman is using them, it's possible you might see her dick. A lot of transmisogynistic humor revolves around being traumatized because the subject saw a woman with a penis. And look, to a certain extent I sympathize. I'm not a fan of dick; I dont want this thing either. But if you want to be an ally to trans women, I think a big important step you can take personally is to examine your own reaction to the scenarios I described above, and recognize that a dick is just a body part a girl has sometimes. Seeing it as inherently sexual and/or traumatizing is a major wedge conservatives use to justify their rhetoric
tomodachi life giving you so many oppertunities for custom images and text with no filters means the obvious answer is of course to fill it with sex and penis. which is why i appreciate that every tomodachi life post ive seen is actually pretty lacking in sex and penis. instead we've been giving our miis enough cigarettes to kill a small village.
my lawyer told me "you're very honest in a way that I'd want you to talk in mediation but not in court" and I wasn't sure what that meant until 10 minutes later when I, completely unprompted, referred to myself as a "pathological responsibility hoarder" and immediately was like oh, okay, I get it now
