Also! Some libraries have a preferred name option. Most of the library cards I’ve seen are not like credit cards where your legal name is printed on it, it’s just the barcode on the physical card. And you can set your non-legal name in your account, which only you and the librarians would be able to see anyway. It varies library to library but it’s worth checking out.
