Omg, yes!!! I was just saying that to someone earlier, like, Belinda became rich, and the second she did she stoped caring for other people's dreams, and left Pornchai in the lurch.

At first I thought maybe she felt guilty about taking the money, and didn't want to admit to him where she got it, but then I realized that I don't think she's ever felt so safe in her life. All that money is security for her and her son, and I think she genuinely wanted to breathe and just be happy for a little while. Who knows if that will be a few days, years, or decades. I'm guessing the longer she waits, the further removed she will feel from the working class. But she's was working single mom for so long, and she needs a break, and she (like everyone) deserves to be happy.

But still, it must have hurt Pornchai. Both what she did, and how she did it, and when she did it were all just twists of the knife. 💔 They had just had sex, and they were talking about opening up a business, and I think he could really picture a life with her. He was smitten. But at the same time, they had only known each other for a few days, and he didn't really know her. But even the loss of a friend or lover you've only had for a short time can really hurt.

Nevertheless, I am proud to say I was right about exactly 2 things:

Belinda's decision to take the money and to do to Pornchai what Tanya did to her;

And never rooting for Piper! I knew she would beat it the moment she understood that Buddhism was not just an aesthetic.

why did you hate it? i agree it could ve had a more satisfying ending from certain povs but it was also so poetic and so in sync with some character's way of being

i am so upset with the way Belinda acted and how she transformed from this utter positive amazing person, slowly becoming secretive and obsessed with the money even before having it

I'm kinda disappointed in Piper tbh, like she seemed to be so legit in the beginning, practicing Buddhism to the best of her abilities for a long period of time and actually investing so much energy in this. But it's a real tragedy all she wanted all along was to just be as different and far away from her familly as possible.

At a certain point in the episode I suspected what was gonna happen with Lochlan but did NOT see that twist. i'm happy with the outcome though (they deserve to suffer from been Poor OH God Can You Imagine That?!)

the ending im most upset about though is Gaitok's. i hate peer pressure and to see an actual good person doing an 180° just like that makes me really sad.

I guess I am just incredibly sad. Throughout both season 1 and season 2, I liked some characters. I found them entertaining, but I didn't feel for a single one, but in season 3 I got really invested in Rick and Chelsea. Therefore, even though I absolutely see the beauty of their tragic ending, I can't help but feel terribly hurt and sad.

Btw, I 100% agree with your take on Gaitok. I wish he had more supportive people around him.
