It's really funny to me that when it was confirmed cannon that Ragatha is a lesbian, everyone was accepting and supportive. But when Jax was confirmed transfem, it sparked an entire debate and essentially war in the fanbase.

I haven't seen a single person claim that Ragatha's lesbianism was "forced" or "rushed" or "there weren't any signs pointing to it" or "she's not a perfect angel, it's bad representation"

Why are people only upset about a character being trans? Ragatha's sexuality was never explicitly said in the show, just like Jax's gender identity, but people are totally fine with it. I would honestly say the symbolism for Jax being trans was a lot clearer than the "lesbian vibe" that Ragatha gave off.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ragatha and the fact that we have more lesbian rep in shows like tadc, but it baffles me how much transphobia is within this very queer-based fandom and community. This is honestly exhausting.

Do better.
