I saw this meme on my dash, and I would like to make it. :) Unfortunatelly I can make this with only my recent gifs, because I usually delete the screencaps after I finished making a gif. So these are some of my very recent edit. :) Giffing Due South is a real challenge (and I love challenges), because I prefer making edits from 1080p HD shows (who doesn’t? ;)) but I’m very okay with 720p, too. This tv show is only availabe in low quality (it’s like 512 pixel wide, so…) I love peeling the grey from these scenes step by step, and I actually like that this show is all pretty green and yellow everywhere, if you look behind the dark curtains - aka switch on the light and other buttons. ^^ (Anyway why is this grey filter on everything? Like on every tv show and movies, even on the newest ones. They protect our eyes or what? Never understood. :D)
I tag some awesome people who make gorgeous gifs, but anybody feel free to make this meme, of course. ;)

KEEP AWAY FROM YOUR CARRIER!
Right, I work for the USPS and we are deemed “essential” workers. We have been told that we are a bit of normalcy in this rather strange time that we are in and I’m fine with that. What I am NOT fine with are those who are not quite paying attention to what they have been told about social distancing. I have at home a spouse who is immunocompromised, and a daughter who has had issues with bronchitis and pneumonia. I run my route 6 days a week, and deliver mail and packages to over 300 houses. I have a smaller route, other carriers have over 600 but I digress. I would like to deliver the mail as quickly and safely as possible and then clean up and get home. What I am finding problems with are those people who STILL want to come out to interact with me. If one of you are infected, I have the potential to carry that to 300+ others, not to mention people who interact with those folks. THEN I would come home and give that bug to those people who I care about the most. I had a customer today who, in spite of me waving him off continued to move toward my position to take a package from me. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I do not want the potential to bring this into my home, I do not want the potential to bring this to other customers who may have issues as well.
I may get into trouble for this post, but I need a signal boost for this in order to get the message across: Please stay away from your mail carrier for now, we can get back to normal faster if we all manage to show a little common sense.
Thank you for considering this strong suggestion.

D: That’s so awful, I’m sorry!! *hugs* I hope this is fixed pronto & that you both stay well <33
*hugs* thank you. So far we don’t have any symptoms except he is congested but it could be from a cold he’s had in the winter. I doubt they will do anything--he said he was listening to NPR and they are hiring a bunch of new workers (because people that might get covid will have to stay home???). Luckily my mom has some gloves she will send us but I just hope it will be soon enough. Too close quarters. I know this isn’t the only industry where people are having these issues going on, but it still pisses me off. They lie and say they will get stuff and don’t.
https://www.npr.org/2020/03/24/820330579/postal-workers-say-they-lack-supplies-training-to-protect-themselves-from-virus This is serious. The carriers are not lying, I wasn’t sure if it was going on all over the country but apparently it is. My partner is a mail carrier. He got a couple sanitizers from coworkers but no gloves are available. No masks. We probably both carry the virus.

Experts say coronavirus could be transferred through mail delivery by sick employees. Postal workers say USPS isn’t doing much to keep them or their customers safe.
Postal carriers say they are being pressed into service against medical advice and with insufficient protection against the novel coronavirus. Two mail carriers told ProPublica they have been pressured to stay on their routes despite showing symptoms of COVID-19.
One of the workers, in Denver, says he had to keep delivering mail for days while he awaited a doctor’s note. He says the route includes many locations where there are elderly and immunocompromised residents.
In the other case, a letter carrier in the Northwest says he is still delivering mail even after a nurse told him he likely has coronavirus.
Ten letter carriers also told ProPublica that they’ve been given little or no hand sanitizer even though they have little opportunity to wash their hands on their routes. Some postal workers told us they’ve been provided gloves, others said they haven’t. The workers spoke on condition of anonymity.
…
In a statement to ProPublica, USPS spokesman David Partenheimer said, “The safety and wellbeing of our United States Postal Service employees is our highest priority.” Noting experts’ conclusion that there’s little risk of the coronavirus spreading through shipping of packages, Partenheimer said, “We believe our customers should feel safe in receiving their mail as usual.”
The Postal Service did not address specific questions about how the agency has addressed the risk of spreading the virus through mail delivery by sick employees, mail carriers being pushed to work despite symptoms, or the lack of hand sanitizer.
Partenheimer said the agency knows of five postal workers who have tested positive for the coronavirus, none of whom are still on the job. That does not include the two postal workers ProPublica spoke with. They have not been able to get tested.
The Postal Service has said it has adopted a liberal sick leave policy in light of the virus. In a video message this month, Postmaster General Megan Brennan encouraged workers to simply stay home if they feel unwell.
But postal workers said the USPS has long pushed employees to avoid taking sick days and managers are still sticking to that.
The carrier in Denver who continued going to work last week despite symptoms said he and his colleagues were told they needed to have a doctor’s note to miss work. He said he came to work until he could get one.
“I was forced to expose others to a potentially deadly virus because of policies based on a predetermined attitude that all carriers are lazy and cheaters,” the Denver worker said. He added that when he was still at work, he and other employees were not being provided with hand sanitizer.
look I don’t wanna be mean about this person’s voice and they seem to have good humor about it, but I just wanted to post it because it’s one of the most chaotic things I’ve ever seen and I love it, thank you for this video Bev
