QRIUS

The logomark is a combination of the letter mark Q (for Qrius), an eye (to symbolize keenness and ambition), and an owl (to symbolize wisdom and learning).

National Partners Conference 2017
ChildFund Philippines holds an annual conference of their partners from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The National Partners Conference 2017 – "Strong Partners. Child Protection Champions.", was held on June 19-23 at the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City, Manila.
I was able to develop the logo for the conference using the keywords collaboration, ideas, partnership, diversity, unity, and champions. I thought of speech bubbles (ideas) coming together (unity) forming a star (champions). Other than the conference brand, I also developed the design for the stage backdrop, shirt, tote bag, plaque, certificates. I was also in charge of the photo documentation of the 5-day event.
Scaling Up Nutrition - Civil Society Alliance, Philippines
In 2014, the Philippines joined the Scaling Up Nutrition Movement (SUN) which is founded on the principle that all people have a right to food and good nutrition.
SUN CSA Philippines wanted to have a distinct brand, without deviating from the logo of the global movement. I added a simple logo mark to the existing elements of the global brand. Since the client wanted the logo to depict a sense of community, I thought of developing an image of three people helping one another. The figures also symbolize the three main islands of the Philippines (Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao). The colors of the Philippine flag was applied to make the logo distinctly Filipino.
Gems Heart Outreach Dev’t, Inc.
Gems Heart Outreach Dev’t, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization committed to empowering children, families and communities towards total human development, with special focus on the excluded, the exploited, the vulnerable.
I wanted to create a logo that symbolizes the vision and objectives of the organization. The symbols of the heart and the helping hands signifies the people of the organization who are able to emphatize with and help those in need, through their outreach work. The gem symbolizes the organization’s belief that all people, especially the marginalized, should be treated like precious gemstones. The client also wanted their brand to look elegant and sophisticated, hence the color palette and minimal design of their collaterals.
I was also tasked to design and develop their website. I sticked with the color palette and maintained a clean and minimal look. You may check out the full website at gemsheart.org.
TOP International
Trans Outsourcing Provider International or TOP International, offers solution to any document-related processes such as Document Imaging, Archiving, Printing and Direct Mail Fulfillment.
For the rebrand, I decided to take inspiration from TOP’s core competencies – Document Management and Outsourcing. I also drew some ideas from their old logo – the human figure which symbolizes manpower, and the globe which symbolizes the company’s globally competitive services. The color palette is narrowed down to two colors, which gives the brand a more clean and corporate look.
Emergence
Emergence: Where Design Meets Advocacy, is the Senior Thesis Exhibition of Miriam College’s Applied Arts class of 2017. It is an exhibit that celebrates and highlights the importance of visual design to society by voicing out causes that usually get lost in the saturated space of commercial marketing.
It has been the norm of the MC Applied Arts department to showcase the different theses of their graduating batches through an exhibit. I was in charge to spearhead the marketing committee. I took inspiration from our batch’s “out of the box” thesis topics that aims to solve or voice out different advocacies through design. A minimal black and white theme was chosen to maintain the cohesiveness of the exhibit, despite the variety of the projects. Secondary logos were used to symbolize the various advocacies in the exhibit.
Grafika MC
Grafika (formerly GraphikAArtista) is the official sub-org of student digital media designers and artists under AASoc Miriam College.
We wanted to make a space that allows us to be ourselves; a space that we can call home. That is Grafika.
During my term as president of Graphika Artista, I, along with my co-officers decided to change the identity and personality of our college sub-org. We found its former image to be too uptight and to lack character. It does not effectively mirror the people behind the sub-org, who are playful and filled with eccentric ideas. We also wanted to stand out from similar orgs in school. Hence, I chose to go with bold, striking colors and quirky illustrations.

EcoKit
For our ecology class, we were instructed to use our design skills to help solve an environmental problem of our choice. We wanted to address the the harmful effects of urbanization to the environment, but we had different ideas for the final output. Since some wanted to create an infographic, a manual, and stickers, I thought of combining everything into a single product. The EcoKit is a collaborative project of Nathalie de Guzman, Reigina Lozada, Madison Ng, Rianne Rafael, and yours truly. For this project, I designed the logo, illustrated the infographic, and created some icons for the manual.
Urbanization poses a whole lot of detriments to our environment which can definitely affect us and our daily lives. We, as ordinary people, can help fight the detrimental effects of this issue through small yet effective ways.
After a lot of brainstorming, our team is proud to present the ECOKIT which serves as a little companion in your journey towards “going green” or maybe even becoming more environmentally conscious! This kit includes the following:
a manual that contains pointers, reminders, and small tasks that will encourage the intended users to step up their game on taking care of the environment
an infographic that shows the status and the different problems faced by the Metro Manila due to rapid urbanization
a set of stickers that promote environmental awareness
a tin can that will be used as a mini planter
a mini shovel
a garden glove
a packet of seeds
a small pack of garden soil.
We believe that this can help kickstart the majority into getting more involved with becoming environmentally-conscious! Let's take it one step at a time!
