nobody talks about how exhausting it is to live in that space between "things will get better" and "i can't handle this anymore." it's like your emotions are constantly swinging. leaving you both hopeful and defeated in the same day.
The pathologization of anger needs to be talked about. What do you mean my therapist is telling me that thereās something āchemically wrongā with me because I am still angry about my mom DYING OF COVID.
of course Iām still angry? My mom and 1.3 million other Americans are dead and you want me to shoot sunshine out of my ass about it?
āBut Itās been 3 years since she died, you have complex griefā yeah and she was on a ventilator for 11 days and she kept writing āI am scaredā and āI donāt want to dieā on a notepad over and over again. Hi! Who wants a test drive of the updated Ava Nails Box?
Originally made by @platinumaspiration using Ava's nails, updated by Puhlinnos and now getting two major features from me
(EDIT: turns out Puhlinnos replaced most of the nails in this set, I may have to redo it with the originals š )
Features:
pick nails by icons in selection dialog window
open a nail salon! (sort of)
as a bonus, smoothed out mesh
If you set the nail box for sale in an owned business, customers will browse and buy manicures. You decide if you want to actually choose and apply nail designs. If not - customers will pay money and move on, don't worry, they won't put on random overlays autonomously! Also, there's a menu setting to disable sales pop-ups if you get tired of doing everyone's nails, but still want the money flowing. When you don't play the owner, customers just look busy, but nothing happens
At home, it costs Ā§10 to do nails, Ā§50 at businesses, Ā§0 to remove. The nailbox itself costs Ā§5 I think and is found in Misc./Dressers
Dialog with icons allows for multiple selection, but in this case, all the nails are mutually exclusive, sims won't wear more than one design
Try it (same GUID as the original, only use one at a time)

I made handy template files and a tutorial on how to use them to create your own overlay/tattoo/accessory/nail box with icons and OFB functionality. I will release them as soon as we ironed out this baby. There may be things I didn't think of

Making Sims 2 Default Replacement Hair in 60 seconds or less
Still needs a lot of refinement before I could launch it, but so far it's working, even if the UI is pretty messy and has a lot of files that could be hidden and I'm sure some part of it has a bug somewhere.
What you saw me do was:
Select the hair I wanted to replace with a CC hair.
Upload the CC hair's mesh and colors to the tool.
The tool gave me a .package default replacement file I added to my game.
In less than 60 seconds I went from uploading files to seeing my default replacement in game (... okay, maybe a bit more than 60 seconds, but that's because Sims 2 needs to open)
If you want to help me test it out, please let me know! I'd love to clean it up and get it polished to the point where I could share it with everyone.
What if all you had to do to create a default replacement was open this tool, find the item you want to replace, and upload the CC you want to replace it with and you'd have the .package file in less than 60 seconds? š
So far, so good, but there's going to be *so* much testing required to get it working flawlessly. If it's something you'd be interested in testing for me as I continue to build it out, let me know!
Sul sul! Here is a compilation of some witchy defaults! All require The Sims 2: Apartment Life in order to work. All are for women, except for the face overlays which are unisex and will replace male witches too.
Before I start with these downloads, I just want to say that I finally fixed the textures for my fem witch hair defaults here! The defaults from V2 and V3 are no longer crusty! The previews still show the crust, but I promise you I have updated the files on SimFileShare and Simblr.CC (but NOT MediaFire, which I no longer use), so please redownload! V1 was not updated since those ones weren't crusty.
Sadly, only one of these sets are for the full ufbodywitch, since only one of the dresses I liked was available for teens... I included a combined uf and a separated tf version so you can mix-and-match still! The colours were chosen to match my hair defaults. I edited the neutral witch swatch to be more of a lighter grey to differentiate it from bad witches, and mixed one of the tights from the other swatch. Enabled for YF, unhidden, not townified, everyday category, heavy boots sound.
VERSION 2 - Replaced with @pop-sims' 4t2 Conversion of Marsmerizing's Melchiel Dress. Enabled for YF, unhidden, not townified, everyday category, normal shoes sound.
VERSION 3 - Replaced with knowledgeaspiration's 4t2 Conversion of Kumikya's Witch Dress. Enabled for YF, unhidden, not townified, everyday category, normal shoes sound (wasn't boot-sy enough).

Replaced with @latmosims 4t2 Conversion of Maxis' EP19 Face Paints, specifically "Ethereal Glow" I believe its called. Unisex and available for teen, adult, and elder Sims. It is just the facepaint, it does not include any green skin for bad witches since I prefer having unique skintones for them. It does look good on custom green skin!
Spectral Witch Assistant
Replaced with @deedee-sims' 4t2 Conversion of Maxis' Bonehilda. Good alignment are the blue dress shown in the preview, while evil alignment is black and the (unused?) neutral alignment is green. This one was inspired by hat_plays_sims and simstralia's defaults, which are earlier versions of Bonehilda! I did use the same hair remover mesh as simstralia's default since I couldn't figure it out on my own, I hope that is okay! Special thanks to rudhira for helping me figure this out on Garden of Shadows! :D
...If there are male versions, I didn't touch them, by the way.

Maybe Iāve been working MORE THAN double as hard for MY WHOLE LIFE and itās led me to immense burnout & caused me to develop several MORE disabilities!! Maybe I should be ACCOMMODATED so I donāt have to KILL MY BODY AND BRAIN over trying to do what abled people can do!! Maybe I DONāT have to work double as hard!! Maybe if thereās the option to let me NOT work double as hard, I should have it, because Iām already working double as hard JUST TO SURVIVE!!
