I love seeing friends and also love being alone after seeing friends. I’m in bed, cozy, and thinking of soon moving to the recliner to watch a movie and eat a snack.

Hopefully I can spend this vacation week not fretting about the strike.

when i was 10 or so i was deathly afraid of vampires so i stole the garlic powder from my mom’s spice cabinet and kept it in my coat pocket and if i was out at night with like my parents and thought someone was acting really sus i’d try to surreptitiously sprinkle a lil garlic powder on them 

like imagine a weird little girl deciding you failed her vibe check and promptly seasoning you

I took my first stab at short ribs last night and they were fall off the bone mouthwatering. The recipe was for honeyed stout-braised ribs. I served them with roasted garlic and chive mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze (which a friend made because I’m not into brussel sprouts — or so I thought…these were delicious!!).

Allow people to like you, to enjoy your company, to want to be your friend. Allow them to compliment you, allow others to think you're cool and funny even if you think you're not. It is not up to you to tell others how to feel, and remember that people might see the positive things in you and qualities that you have been failing to see while being too self-critical. Had my first endocrinologist appt yesterday because an ultrasound found thyroid nodules. So he tells me the nodules are super tiny and of no concern and I told him what made me ask my doctor for the imaging in the first place. He had my lie down on the exam table and did another ultrasound and saw the issue. I have a fluid filled cyst UNDER my thyroid that’s about 4 cm. He said he’s not concerned it’s cancer, but that the risk it poses is choking (!!!!!). Anyway, he said to monitor how it feels to swallow over the next six months. As soon as I feel like it’s out of my comfort zone, he will drain it…by sticking a needle into my neck to suck fluid out.

So. That’s great.
