//When you miss your 8 am flight to Boston and the airline takes pity on you. So they put you on the next flight free of charge.
To all of my california friends who can’t miss fireflies because they haven’t ever seen them.
^ what? do they not have fireflies in CA??????????
Nope! They don’t really live west of the rockies. The first time I saw them in Ohio, I thought I was hallucinating.
2017: favorite tracks
Yuki stood in front of the office door with a tray of fresh monkey bread, out of the oven - 20 minutes ago. She had been standing outside of his office for at least 10 minutes, afraid and embarrassed.
Shinya had been sitting at his desk for more than a few hours now, tiredly filling out documents he put off for a bit too long. He had been thinking about far too much stuff as of late, whether it was about his children or about the Ichinose siblings, there was always something on his mind nowadays. His free hand was place within strands of white hair, tousling them around a few times before letting out an irritated sigh. A cup of coffee sat on the top of his desk just beside his elbow. Eventually, he dropped his pen down onto the stack of papers and leaned back in his chair with a groan.
“If you’re going to come inside, just open the door already. I know you’ve been standing out there for a while now, I can sense your presence.”
Hearing his voice through the door, Yuki’s back tensed up as she straightened her composure with lightening speed. Ignoring the shooting pain of a pinched nerve, the woman’s mind was instead filled with worrisome fears. The two had stopped talking for a few months. He really had been upset with her, and rightfully so. She acted like a child and the unwarranted kiss was a big mistake. She regrets that. She misses Shinya, and she had been wanting to mend the relationship. But, Yuki just didn’t know how to do that. So, here she is, standing in front of his office with a tray gooey goodness that is monkey bread and an apology letter. She opened the door and laughed awkwardly.
“Hrm.. Sorry..”
Crystal blue hues stared at the ceiling, Shinya didn’t really lower his head and simply allowed his eyes to side-eye her. His head was currently pounding terribly, and he hadn’t really been sleeping like he normally would. Things had been far more difficult than he would have liked. He hadn’t seen any of his friends, excluding the oldest Ichinose son. He had to take care of a lot of things since the birth of his new children. It was fun. But at the same time, it was also very stressful. Though, Shinya knew he’d never take it back. So, hew would manage, finishing all the work he wasn’t able to get to at first just because of his new addition to the family. He sat back up straight in his chair.
“Mhm, it’s fine.”
Yuki bravely took a couple of steps in, only to freeze. The blond Hīragi looked miserable; like he’s trying to work through it, but his head keeps getting in the way. The look on Shinya’s face and in his eyes suggest that perhaps he wasn’t feeling the best. Possibly a migraine, something Yuki was all too familiar with. She has had her fair share of chronic migraines, especially after gaining a new member of her family. Tsuki and Moose got along a little too well. Her apartment looks like a war-torn Shinjuku at the moment. It was damn near impossible getting the monkey bread made with the two monsters causing mayhem. Biting her lip, Yuki took another two steps in. She placed a piece of the gooey, sugary biscuit on a paper plate and left it on his file cabinet.
“...Um..I made this, and um... I thought maybe you would like a piece? I-it’s fine if you don’t. but, I’ll just leave it here...You know, just in case...”
