Okay so apparently people think BoJack actively wanted Sarah Lynn to die? People genuinely think he did not want her to survive????

Bojack unintentionally killed Sarah Lynn because he valued himself more than he wanted her alive. He waited 17 minutes to call an ambulance, not because he wanted her to die, but because he could then fabricate this story in which he is The Hero and Saved Her Life (or tried to) and everyone kisses him and claps. (This is obviously not likely. But it has never stopped him from creating these narratives.)

He killed her. You should blame him for that. But to say he intentionally wished for her to die is completely wrong. Throughout the entire series, BoJack creates these fake or ideal situations in which everybody loves him. He still gets to be shitty, sometimes secretly, sometimes outwardly. But everybody loves him. That is exactly the same thing he did here.

Two things can be true at once. 1. He wanted her to live. 2. He did not want to go to jail for her death. These two statements contradict, though, right? How do we make sure both of these things can happen? And so he did what he thought would make both of these things happen. He knew if he called the moment he realized she wasn't waking up, he'd be a part of an investigation. He'd go to jail for her death; for giving her the drugs that killed her.

He valued her but valued HIM MORE.

In his head, everybody got everything they needed. He could protect himself and avoid jail. And he could ALSO try to save her by creating up this delusional, bullshit story. (Again, this isn't rational, obviously.)

He did NOT want her to die. That does not mean we're excusing his shitty behavior. He killed her. It's his fault she died. He is an unintentional murderer. But he does not think like a murderer. He did not want bad things to happen to her. He is just the bad thing.

Stanley Pines is the greatest character of all time. I would like to remind you that this man, visiting Gravity Falls in the hopes to reconcile with his brother, lost him in an instant.

Stan knew absolutely NOTHING. Nothing about the town he was in. Nothing about what his brother was doing for ten years; what he had become. Had no idea about science or anomalies or different dimensions. He worked with ONE JOURNAL for 30 YEARS. He worked for three decades off ONE JOURNAL. The absolute willpower, resilience, and motivation needed to be up for this would be inhuman levels and somehow Stan managed to work with what he had. It's what he's always done and what he knows best.

Ford lost his mind trying to make this machine work. He didn't want to do it by himself. Without Bill. Without McGucket. But Stan did it by himself. For 30 years, EVERY DAY, he did it by himself. Ford is smarter than Stan. No doubt. But Stan is stronger.

If you are a yumeshipper or selfshipper, I would encourage you to research Madd! It is something I've noticed a lot of us struggle with and it may make your journey easier to understand and navigate :)

I wish there were more interactions with Kinger & Gangle bc I feel like they'd so get along. I headcanon that Gangle comes to Kinger when she's especially sad and they sit in his pillow fort together and talk. He'll give Gangle advice in general and she takes it all in stride. Kinger tells her about his wife over and over but sometimes he slips new details in and Gangle admires and adores his strength and the secret, quiet knowledge he has locked away.

Or they sit and gossip, they secretly ship Jax and Pomni and giggle. Gangle reads him her fanfiction and shows him her fanart. Kinger is chuffed every single time, hyping up her drawings and talent. He notices affectionate drawings of Zooble and asks her, "So you and Zooble ...??" Nearly every single time (he forgets by the next day) and Gangle blushes and squirms and mumbles something under her breath.

If anything, I like Caine MORE now. To know the "Leave the Circus" adventure wasn't intentionally malicious, to know he desperately, with his whole being, tried to give the Humans everything They asked for.

"They want an Exit... They want answers... They want something... real..."

He gave them what he thought they wanted and nothing less. The idea that they want to LEAVE HIM does not compute. That isn't a viable option to him and when it becomes viable he doesn't understand how or why. The idea of "leaving" a place he calls home, a place he's never been outside of, a place he was created to rot away in. He's never seen anything else. He was created FOR the circus. He IS the circus. It's like if I picked up and decided to leave Earth. It just doesn't work that way.

The absolute desperation he has to be like Them. To understand Them and appease Them and slave for Them and keep Them happy. Imagine your only purpose is to keep prisoners happy in Hell. It will never happen. And you can only blame yourself because that's the way you were built. It's because you can't see what's right in front of you. And no matter how hard you try, you will never get Them or understand Them.

Caine can NEVER give them something "real". It's not possible. He doesn't know what "real" is. He knows what he THINKS it is, but he could never comprehend it. It's like I'm making you dinner but don't have a recipe. I'm the dealer in a card game I don't know the rules to. It's not in his programming.

The same way Ragatha says that they are "reaching for an unattainable goal", so is Caine.

Also, Bubble says to Caine, "Maybe you deserved to be abandoned." As in, past tense. And adds on, "You really were the lesser of the two."

Caine also says, "I AM the original."

I think this proves that in the beginning, the red dot is indeed Caine and the blue dot is a different AI program that was implemented AFTER Caine and he took that AI over. Caine is not supposed to be in charge and him being replaced explains his crippling fear of being abandoned.

TADC Caine spoilers below the cut ‼️⚠️

Here are some of the images that flash in the beginning of ep8:

I'm assuming these were the images fed to Caine in the very beginning; base ideas of where he could/should start. If he is a Creative AI, he obviously needs some type of material to begin with. The other images that flash after this are all of the office space, or the space behind the Exit door. In a next scene, he mentions that he "even adds an exit" in order to appease the humans. So we can conclude that the Exit is indeed "fake" in a sense, only what Caine knows. It seems like what he told Jax in the previous episode is truthful, and, simply, he only can build from what he knows (which is essentially, like, 12 real life images lmao). If Caine's only been fed very hand-picked, real life examples, he can only create an environment, adventures, and speech dedicated to those images. He is not all-knowing, despite his claim of being "God". He really simply was trying to appease these people the best way he knew how. Also, in the beginning, he absolutely breaks down, realizes he has complete control and restarts. He greets everybody like any other time. I wonder how many times Caine has secretly crashed out, almost entered God Mode and slaughtered everybody, and was simply forced to restart automatically.
