Author’s note: This was written for week 3 of Klaroline Fanfic Week @klarolinefanficweek - Crime. It was a race to get to the stupid hidden treasure before the rest of the Mikaelsons. Being trapped in a cave was making Caroline reconsider her decision to help Klaus and Kol...

The Trouble with Inheritance

            Caroline was starting to think the cave slowly filling with water was the least of her problems. She and Klaus had managed to avoid arguing nearly the whole trip to the underground caverns in Mystic Falls — probably a record for them. But then Klaus stupidly pushed that carved lever which triggered a cave-in. And when the river water started coming in, Caroline worriedly wondered aloud if Kol had made it through the tunnels.

            Ever since then, Klaus had giving her the silent treatment. Because apparently they were in middle school. “If this is about me losing the map while I was stealing that guy’s wallet, Kol and I already took detailed pictures with our phone, so the trail should be pretty easy to pick up again.” When Kol had asked for her help, she’d agreed right away, but he’d conveniently left out that Klaus was joining them. Jackass.

            Klaus scoffed, his tone icy as he said, “Oh yes, you and Kol are quite the clever pair.”

            “What the hell does that mean?” Klaus always had been Kol’s asshole older brother ever since she met Kol bartending a couple of years ago, but this was ridiculous. The entire trip had been ridiculous though. After the funeral, Mikael’s herd of lawyers had gathered the entire family to read the will. And that was when they learned what a sadistic, controlling bastard he truly was.

The thing is that sex scenes actually are incredible ways to explore character. People are at their most vulnerable during sex! The way they have sex says a lot of very interesting things about their desires, obviously, but also their psychology, their vulnerabilities, their hopes and fears, etc. It is completely insane to me to think that sex scenes have no value other than to sexually excite the audience. And even if their only value is to sexual excite the audience - SO WHAT?? A movie is supposed to excite and entertain you! Grow up!!!
