You think about him. You think about him even when you shouldn’t, wether it’s when you can’t sleep at 3 am or when it’s the busiest time of day at 3 pm. He crosses your mind and lingers. And you know he shouldn’t. He isn’t yours anymore, maybe he never even was yours to begin with. And it stings because you know how easily he tosses words around, how quickly they roll off his tongue. So don’t take offense to the mean ones and don’t read too much into the kind ones. You’re searching for something you will never be able to find.
