the real tragedy of shiv roy is that she's never considered as her own individual. tom thinks of her as a way to get into the roy family, to achieve his ambitions. gil sees her as a means to assert his political agenda. nate wants to fuck her, doesn't consider her his equal, or even think of her as capable at her job for a second. mattson takes her away from a position she'd be capable of holding because he's sexually attracted to her. roman and kendall cant perceive her as anything else than their annoying, liberal sister. logan only sees a woman and the duties that need to go with it. no matter how hard she tries to emulate masculine charactersitics, how deep she buries her emotions, how ruthless she presents herself, she wasn't born with a dick. therefore she will never be enough. she is a daughter. she is a wife. she is a roy. she is never siobhan.
