On Taylor Swift’s ninth studio album, evermore, the songs dorothea and ivy have both romantic undertones and overtures. dorothea seems to be about a long lost friend that a reconnection to would not be remiss and in fact cherished while ivy has a story being told where the narrator is married and the husband would be greatly displeased to find the narrator in love with a character of a non-specified gender.
