Why is it easier and more comfortable to sit in a position that actively damages my joints than it is to just sit with okay posture. Why does my body crave its own destruction
A Kingdom of Swans
When Prince Siegfried defeated the sorcerer von Rothbart, there were twenty-four swan-maidens at the lake, twenty-five counting Princess Odette. They’d been transformed for various reasons, but the curse worked the same way for the entire flock—they lived as swans every day, and only returned to their human forms at night with the rising of the moon.
Nobody in the flock had a terribly high opinion of Prince Siegfried, given how near he’d come to killing Odette, even if it had been a misunderstanding. But when he stood over the sorcerer’s broken body, silver blade dripping blood, the flock collectively decided to give him a second chance.
They left the ancient lakeside tower with the rising of the sun, Odette riding on Siegfried’s horse while the rest of the flock followed behind in a barefoot mob. A few of the real swans accompanied them for a time but returned to the lake when it became clear they were straying beyond flock territory.

I am so sick and tired of having to charge stuff every day of my miserable life!! My phone, my watch, my headphones, my vibrator, my backup vibrator, my emergency vibrator, the ancient cursed amulet of darkness that whispers to me....it's too much!!!
From sam shannon's ig!!!!
i really don't think the lesbians are reacting strongly enough to the insanely good lesbian rep in the roots of chaos series. Priory is already so good, and then Day of Fallen Night just ups the ante with not one iconic lesbian romance but TWO. who is doing it like samantha shannon? no one.
AND ITS NOT JUST LESBIANS!! there are so many lovely characters in these books; do you know how hard it is to write a book with four narrators and all four of them are interesting?? Ugh i'm begging pleading on my knees -- read these books !!!!!!!!
no because glorian shieldheart was so scared of being queen and letting her people down and all she wanted to do was be a good queen for them and the last thing she told her mother was that she would be remembered for centuries and then five hundred years later sabran looks at ead and tells her she will lead her people to victory just as glorian shieldheart did OH IM SICK IM SICK!!!!!!!
