I know everyone and their mom likes to imagine tav\ascended!astarion as like a dark, dramatic tragic romance and that’s valid!

That being said, I like to imagine the funnier and arguably more pathetic alternative: an immortal couple just constantly on the cusp of a messy divorce for the rest of eternity. Some Anne Rice, Louis and Lestat type energy. One decade they’re whispering sweet nothings in their bedchamber, the next they’re screaming bloody murder over which one them get custody of their vampire children and the dog/owlbear. Then it’s romantic and cuddly once more until either of them gets bored and they start arguing again.
