Taedelan has now been married to his spouse Mirceas for 3 1/2 years. Their little daughter, Hladalder (also called "Little Lady"), is just over 3 years, out of her toddler phase, and very attentive in her lessons. Tae is teaching his daughter how to read with all the books he can find, and Mirceas is attempting to teach her how to play chess, with varying results. At least she isn't eating the pieces anymore (Tae still does, though, but only to cheat so he can win against his husband!)

Chomy (the orange cat) is finally getting a coherent backstory in which he gets his magical powers thanks to this flowery fae (another of my OCs, still no name though).

He also has a more coherent design now and a brand new primordial pouch in which all the important things are stored: dreams, fluff and potato chips

Oh this is a common scam I find at work. Any file that:

isn't jpg, jpeg, pdf, or png

Is a file extension you don't recognise (this one is a visual basic file, used for scripting, but others like exe or bat are used)

has a very low or unexpected file size (this one's is less than 1KB, or 0.001MB, a good reference should be at least 500KB)

Is likely a scam. Stay safe kids.

An update for users in Brazil and the United Kingdom

To continue our commitment to user safety and to comply with local laws, we will start using age groups to determine access to certain experiences.

People in Brazil or in the UK, who are 18 or older, will soon need to verify their age to change content label settings and view mature-labeled content. Until then, the settings will be locked to hide.

As a reminder, verification is handled by our age-assurance partner, k-ID. Tumblr won't have access to the information you submit, just the final age-verification result. Documents are deleted after confirmation, and facial scan data never leaves your device.

I want you guys to all start making a bigger stink about Tumblr's Age Verification Horseshit.

Like they tried to change Reblogs and people rightfully got up in arms, this is a LOT worse. In order to have access to any sort of thing dubbed mature, and We haveALL seen what they think is mature, Everything from a black and white photo of a black woman's arm, to posts about IUD recalls, to a nude painted by a 17th century artist, to anything involving the word Trans; you have to send your personal information to a third party site that WILL get hacked, and you will be doxxed. And they can say "Oh shit, well it wasn't us who sent your name address and gender identity to Moldovan teenagers, here's a couple extra minutes in the ball pit.

That's bad enough!!!!!!!! But the entire idea of needing permission from state authorities to access anything labeled mature by our friendly AI overlords is some fucking Boll shit. Die Gedenken Sind Frie baby. This is all a reaction to people getting uppity about their lowly lowly rights and is being propped up by the same bad actors tht have made life unlivable. Fuck that shit.

"Well it's only being rolled out in Brazil and UK" Yeah, to start. "Well they're being forced to do this by laws." YOu know it's always really funny when these tech giants (Or whatever you call owning tumblr dot com) get really antsy about laws considering they pick and choose which ones they abide by.

This is a breaking point and it's going to be very interesting to see how we proceed from here.

So there's a new scam going around

A continuation of a random blog sending a DM telling you they reported your account, a random blog pretending to be the tumblr staff tagging you to tell you that your account has been flagged.

However, there are some rather blatant red flags to look for.

Misspelling, a string of random numbers, and talking about services tumblr doesn't offer, such as monetization.

Report and block.

I'm sorry you're going through it too but yeah, it's definitely a reccuring thing.

So far, scams range from telling you to commission them via DM, to asking if you're available for commissions unprompted (and literally seconds after you post using a popular tag like "Artists on tumblr"), to saying they have something to tell you and you should message them. In all of the cases, you're most probably talking to a bot designed to ask for your input via sending them personal info or entering a link or sending them money.

Stay safe and keep an eye out for suspicious behavior!
