Hottest girl in Eorzea
I've been making and remaking Sekka in blender for a while now and it's fun to see how much better I'm getting at 3d modeling. Also made the clothing with simulation and made the textures myself.
it seems like website building is about to have a boom, let me share my favorite resource of all time!!
sadgrl.online
this is a website packed to the brim with website building goodies , including a website layout maker that is the easiest and most user friendly maker i’ve encountered! perfect for creating your own neocities (it’s free!!) , the code even has helpful tips in it for those new to html/css!
i also recommend w3schools.com for quick and easy to follow chunks of html/css tutorials! gifcities is a goldmine for old neocities era gifs, and blinkies cafe is perfect for making your own blinkies!
i can’t wait to see everyone’s websites in the coming weeks and months! remember, it’s fine to take it slow and let it look silly, that’s always been the point of websites like this :]
ps check out our neocities and feel free to drop yours in the replies :]
Textures almost done. Let's see if I manage to rig and pose the model before my marvelous designer trial finishes.
More angles before I start making the skin textures.
Work in progress but the hair is coming along decently. 😊
how to keep following people when a major social platform implodes
(...and you don't want to join 20 new websites)
First, get an RSS reader*:
Desktop: Feedbro (browser extension), QuiteRSS, Raven Reader
Android: Feeder
iOS/Mac: NetNewsWire
You'll be able to make a custom feed to follow blogs, webcomics, social media feeds, podcasts, news, and other stuff on the web all in one place. To follow something, find its "feed URL"-- often marked by an icon that looks like this ↓-- and paste it into your reader of choice as a new feed.
Some feed URLs for social media:
Twitter: Feedbro can use Twitter profile URLs as feed URLs. Otherwise, use nitter.net/username/rss (or other Nitter instance) (You can get a CSV file of all the accounts you follow using "Download a user's friends list" on Tweetbeaver)
Tumblr: Use username.tumblr.com/rss or username.tumblr.com/tagged/my%20art/rss to follow a blog's "my art" tag (as an example)
Cohost: Use username.cohost.org/rss/public (WIP feature)
Mastodon: Use instance.url/@username.rss
Deviantart: Info here
Spacehey: Info here
Youtube: Go to a channel in a web browser, view page source, and use Ctrl-F/Command-F to find a link that starts with "https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id="
Instagram: Feedbro can use Instagram profile and hashtag URLs as feed URLs. Otherwise, Instagram doesn't have RSS feeds, and due to aggressive rate limiting on their part, it's not so simple to generate a feed URL.
Facebook: Feedbro can use public Facebook group/page URLs as feed URLs.
(If you know an artist who exclusively posts to Instagram, you may want to gently suggest that they crosspost elsewhere...)
Also see how to find the RSS feed URL for almost any site. Try using public RSS-Bridge instances or Happyou Final Scraper to generate feeds for sites that don't have them (Pillowfort, Patreon, etc).
*You can set up your subscriptions in one reader and import them into another by exporting an OPML file.
This!
RSS feeds were a great way to keep track of things before the rise of the platforms, and (if we’re smart) they’ll be great again.
I made Maritte from Ikenfell! Was a really fun exploration of a more stylised 3D anatomy. And also fire simulation which was a lot of stress haha.

I drew a scene that I felt was really important for Sekka's story. She really loves fighting, and throughout the expansions, there has been so much focus on helping people that Sekka couldn't truly focus on enjoying the fights. With this fight, she finally had the chance to let loose.

Yknow, when you keep insisting that adults can’t enjoy fandom or play video games or what cartoons or whatever, it’s other young people that you’re hurting the most. Because the most you’ll do to adults is offend or annoy them with that nonsense, but when you plant that idea in a kid’s head, they grow older with the horrible dread looming over them that the things that bring them happiness and comfort have an expiration date. When I was a young adult, I was genuinely depressed about the thought of getting older because I thought I couldn’t keep enjoying all my hobbies, like I had to give up everything I enjoy once I reach [x] age.
And that is simply not true. It’s bullshit. But the harm is does to people is very real. Kids are so afraid of getting older, and one of the big fears is that their life will become painfully bland and boring once they hit adulthood, as if all adults do is work and pay taxes, possibly raise kids. No more fun, no whimsy, no playfulness, no joy.
Anyway, I’m 33 and I love video games and fanfiction and cartoons. If you tell me I’m too old for that stuff, I’ll roll my eyes and block you and go on with my day. But I will worry about the 17 year old who saw your post too and feels a sinking in their chest at the thought that they have to give up the stuff that makes them happy. THAT’S what bothers me.
Getting older in fandom mostly just means:
You’re better at recognizing fandom patterns and can avoid the toxic ones, leading to increased fandom enjoyment.
Now you have to zoom the text on AO3.
FYI, if you’re a person who wants larger text on AO3, you can zoom in or you can use a site skin (skins only work if you’re logged in though).
The easiest way is to scroll to the bottom of any page on AO3 and look at the left-hand side of the footer. Find Low Vision Default and tap on that, and you’re set.
If you don’t like the looks of Low Vision Default (or if you just want the text inside the fics to be larger but not the rest of the site), you can create your own very simple site skin:
Tap on your name at the top of the AO3 page
Select My Dashboard from the dropdown menu
Select Skins
Tap on Create Site Skin
Give your skin a unique name so that you can save it
Paste the CSS below into the big empty box
Tap the Submit button
On the next page, tap Use
CSS is as follows:
#workskin p { font-size: 24pt; }
Set whatever pt font you prefer to read with and enjoy.
(this CSS code can also be added into any other skin you might be using. Just copy/paste it in there)
I gave up stuff I loved for 7+ years because I heard several people say it was extremely cringe and I had to go to therapy to get back the joy of those things. People being enthusiastic and having fun is cool and good.
I was gonna say mayonnaise but that's already said I see.

Lmao I’m only on Stormblood
This is all perfect
Finally finished this piece. It's my first full 3D scene. I learned so much from this (like don't spend too much time on background objects that won't be visible). Really fun stuff! Look forward to what I do next 😊
